Set in a fantastic position overlooking St Michael’s Mount, this gorgeous ‘upside down’ cottage is just minutes from Marazion’s main beach and offers couples and their dogs the perfect place to call home while exploring the beaches and coast paths around Mounts Bay in West Cornwall.
Beautifully styled, airy and light-filled, the cottage which has recently been refurbished, feels surprisingly spacious for a one-bedroom property, with the open plan layout in the upstairs living area boasting vaulted ceilings and incredible views of both the bay and Mount. This is a lovely place for relaxation whether sharing a cooked breakfast together at the table or curled up on the sofa with a cup of tea. The small yet perfectly formed kitchen is well equipped for rustling up home cooked meals however if you’re partial to eating out, restaurants like The Godolphin and The King’s Arms (both of which are dog-friendly) are within easy reach by foot. Nutshell’s bright bedroom and contemporary bathroom can both be found on the ground floor where the ceilings are lower for a delightfully cosy atmosphere. The bedroom is a lovely space to unwind in as it too has sea views, with a comfortable small double bed allowing guests to drift off with ease.
One of the best-known landmarks in Cornwall, St Michael's Mount is a fascinating place which seems to rise from the sea and is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Marazion. This small tidal island sits just offshore, right in the middle of the bay so you can either wait for the tide to go out and walk your way across the causeway or make your way by boat of which there are three landing points on the mainland, Chapel Rock, Gwelva and Top Tieb. One of the county’s best loved stretches of coastline, west Cornwall is home to a bevy of beautiful beaches including those at Perranunthnoe, Sennen and Prussia coves, Carbis Bay and Porthcurno. However, if you’re looking for the best beaches to give your four-legged furbaby a run on at any time of the year, Marazion East Beach, Long Rock and slightly further afield at Porthkidney Sands, are excellent dog-friendly choices.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 7 nights high season
