The Details
Mountain View Lodge is a generously sized converted barn, situated in the spectacular Cairngorms National Park in the wild and beautiful Highlands of Scotland.
This large and well-equipped house is the perfect base for a family holiday or getaway for a group of friends who want to have amazing outdoors adventures as it puts you right in the heart of some of the most breathtaking and unspoiled countryside in the UK. You're surrounded by forests, moors and snow-capped mountains, near the River Spey and a couple of miles from Loch Insh. It's also a fantastic spot for nature lovers - if you're lucky you could see golden eagles, red squirrels, red deer, osprey or maybe even a rare Scottish wildcat.
The house itself makes the most of its incredible surroundings with far-reaching views from all of its huge windows. The interior is luxurious and the ideal spot to relax after a long day out. The property sleeps up to 10 people. It has two bedrooms, one en-suite, with a kingsize bed and a sofa bed, and the second with two king size beds. The property has a large wet room.
The lounge has a vaulted ceiling, adding to its spacious feel of the house. There are big, comfortable sofas where you can sit and enjoy the view, or relax and watch the satellite TV with sports and movies. Next door is the dining room, which as well as the family-sized dining table has another very comfortable sofa bed. The property has a modern and fully equipped kitchen, with a large cooking range, dishwasher and washing machine. There's also a fantastic games room/ conservatory area at the front of the house, with a pool table.
Outside you'll find an extra treat - a hot tub and barrel sauna, where you can soak or steam away any sore muscles after you've been hiking, cycling, ski-ing, canoeing, or any of the many other activities available in the local area.
The lodge is about a mile from Insh village and walking and cycle tracks run straight past the property and off into the countryside. Dogs are also welcome at Mountain View Lodge.
