This breathtaking three storey townhouse is an absolute work of art. Sleeping up to 12 people, it would be perfect for a large family get together or a group of friends wanting to unwind in complete luxury in the very heart of the Cairngorms National Park.
When you enter the property you'll be stunned by the gorgeous, extravagant design which blends the building's Victorian and vintage features seamlessly with high-end ultra-modern furnishings.
Every room appears to have utilised one of the entire catalogue of Farrow & Ball colours to great effect, and the overall feel is of a home created with beauty and comfort in mind.
The state-of-the-art kitchen has everything you could ever need to produce magnificent feasts which can be enjoyed at the grand dining table with long bench seating tucked up next to the wood burner, or for quick snacks and smaller meals you can use the kitchen island, which is a great place to help prep meals or just enjoy a glass of wine whilst someone else does it!
The living room with its deep green walls and fabulous furnishings is Victorian inspired with another fireplace to keep you warm and toasty, as well as frondy plants and charming ornaments and art. It's a wonderful place to unwind after a long day out in nature.
Five luxurious bedrooms have all been individually styled. Four have large double beds and one has two singles. And if you need another then one of the sofas in the living room unfolds into a double bed too. Each room has a gorgeous colour palette, luxurious bed linens and warm cosy blankets. There are two bathrooms, one has a long bathtub with central taps so two can share, and there's a powerful shower overhead. Be sure to make use of the complimentary toiletries which look lush.
In the morning enjoy that first coffee in the kitchen, or if the weather permits, head out into the garden and take in the fresh air as you make your plans for the day.
If mountain biking is your thing you'll be delighted by the trails available which are an absolute paradise for beginners or more experienced cyclists. And if you want to explore on foot there are a number of excellent routes including Gynack Mill Trail which is an easy hour long stroll through the woods and Tom Baraidh Circular which takes about two hours.
The Highland Wildlife Park is a great day out, and if you like gin there are two distilleries you can visit! If you want a good pub meal, head to the Old Bridge Inn which has a lively atmosphere. The hosts recommend a visit to Cheese Neuk Kingussie, just a few doors down from the house where you can stock up on some stunning French cheeses and wine for a simple but indulgent supper. You might also like to pop along to Alvie Forest Street Food, where you can try some amazing street food created from local foraging!
