Made with local materials, the lodges blend seamlessly with their picturesque surroundings and are well-hidden within the 35 acre Langdale estate. Separated by mature trees and sparkling blue ponds and streams, each has its own captivating view of the valley and offers excellent comfort for a tranquil and relaxing break. Sleeping between four and eight people, the award-winning lodges have sumptuous leather sofas, hardwood furniture, large private balconies and full use of the estate’s extensive spa and leisure facilities.
Settled within the Lake District, it is the lodges’ breath-taking location which truly sets them apart. Wander through the enchanting woodland to spot the magnificent array of fauna and flora or head out on one of the exceptional fell walks to see the rolling British countryside. Local quarries, serene waterfall spots and clear water tarns can be found dotted amongst the vast valley while a rich local history can be found within the area’s charming hamlets and villages.
After a day of exploring, the Langdale Estate also offers an impressive array of Spa treatments and dining facilities. Take a dip in the UV-treated pool, relax in the steam room or indulge in a massage before heading out for a sumptuous meal at one of the estate’s restaurants or bars. Try Stove Restaurant & Bar for a taste of some fine local foods or head to Wainwrights’ Inn for a hearty meal. Once you’ve tried the delicious homemade foods, you can walk it off with a stroll back to your Scandinavian lodge before planning your next Cumbrian excursion.
