The dog-friendly Owl Pods are newly built and feature off-grid heating and power. The alfresco kitchen features a double gas stove, cool box and all the crockery and utensils you need. It’s perfect for using local produce to create culinary delights that fill empty bellies. On those warm evenings, light the Yorkshire Grill BBQ and fire pit to cook the old-fashioned way, before dining under the large parasol on reclaimed wood furniture.

As the evening draws in, gather around the firepit and toast marshmallows as the endless starry skies reveal themselves. Hear the rustle of the leaves as you unwind and relax before retiring to bed. The insulated floor and roof of the Owl Pod ensure that you stay cosy and comfortable as you drift off in your raised king size bed under plush bedding. Blackout blinds keep it dark enough to get a great night’s sleep, but there’s nothing quite like waking up with natural light streaming through. Enjoy alfresco coffee and a hearty breakfast before refreshing in the outdoor ‘Scrub Shack’ with its hot shower and full facilities.

Lahtle Wood Glamping has also recently added their new Woodpecker glamping cabins for two. The glamping cabins features an open double room with a cosy sitting area and an ensuite shower room. Hot water for the shower is provided by an outdoor wood-fired boiler. On the decking, you'll find a covered alfresco kitchen equipped with an outdoor sink, a twin hob gas cooker and a cool box, offering ample space to prepare and cook meals. For barbecues, the owners provide a versatile Yorkshire Grill, which also converts into a firepit for warmth and marshmallow toasting. The private hot tub in each cabin takes up to three hours to heat and includes all of the necessary logs, offering a wonderful spot for some rest and relaxation.

Lahtle Wood Glamping is located just 10 miles from the market town of Malton and 13 miles from the beautiful beaches of Scarborough and the east coast of Yorkshire. Get out in nature with walks along the Yorkshire Wolds Way, Cleveland Way, the Hole of Horcum or along Bempton Cliffs. The stunning North York Moors National Park is right on the doorstep, while the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales are further afield. Sitting just 30 miles away from the historic city of York, Lahtle Wood is ideal for a day trip.
