This collection of three hand-crafted, luxurious shepherds' huts offers couples and small families a delightful place for a rural retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Tucked away on private woodland overlooking the rolling North Yorkshire countryside, each of the three huts has been lovingly designed to provide a rustic home from home. Two of the huts sleep two guests, whilst one of them is able to accommodate two adults and an additional two children if needed.
Each of these huts is in fact two separate huts that have been connected, to create a spacious living area that offers you more room to spread out and relax than a more standard shepherd’s hut.
After a day exploring the area, retire back to your hut and spend the evening soaking it up in your private outdoor warming tub as you take in your picturesque surroundings. Afterwards, light the firepit and warm your toes as the stars come out above. Two of the shepherds’ huts also have their own roll-top bathtub inside, offering you another spot in which to rest weary muscles at the end of the day.
Inside, each hut has been wonderfully decorated with fab wallpaper and carefully chosen furnishings. Light the log-burner and fire up the central heating to stay toasty and warm whatever the weather outside. There’s a stargazing window in each hut too, so you can make the most of your location away from the city’s light pollution and spot the constellations as you drift off to sleep. The huts also have their own modern ensuite bathrooms, with walk-in showers for added luxury during your stay. Each hut has a comfy double bed, whilst the family hut has a dining table for the family to gather, which cleverly folds away to create a double bed for up to two children.
When it comes to meal prep, the huts all have modern kitchenettes, with all the facilities you need to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner, which can be enjoyed at the dining table outside in the summer sunshine.
The huts sit on the grounds of the beautiful Gisborough Hall, which is also home to The Revival Zone treatment rooms where you can book face and body treatments and a range of different spa therapies.
Gisborough Hall offers a range of dining options, including the elegant Chaloner’s Restaurant with original features, and the informal De Brus Bar & Grill. The Old Hall and Drawing Room provide luxurious spaces to relax by a log fire, while the Terrace is perfect for afternoon tea or coffee on sunny days. Room service is also available for a comfortable in-room dining experience.
