A beautiful collection of buildings in the heart of Elmley National Nature Reserve, all yours for exclusive hire and the perfect location for a bespoke country wedding or corporate event.

You'll find the breathtaking Elmley National Nature Reserve on the Isle of Sheppey, where the River Medway meets the North Kent coast. At the heart of over 3,000 acres of protected island wilderness sits the gorgeous farmhouse, luxurious shepherds huts, bell tents and smart cottage which make up the Elmley collection. Sleeping 42 guests in total, they are a magical location for a wedding or company retreat.

Book Elmley for a wedding or event and you get the full support of the experienced and friendly team who will help you arrange every last detail. There's room for up to 150 seated guests within the gorgeous traditional Kentish barn, its soaring rafters hung with fairy-lights. After midnight the party moves outside to the firepit, where the rest of the night is yours.

When it's time for bed, the flexible accommodation gives everyone their own space to relax. The 18th century Kingshill Farmhouse B&B with its mellow redbrick sleeps 12 guests within six luxurious ensuite bedrooms. Light and spacious Elmey Cottage sleeps 10 guests between six bedrooms. Ten snug cabins, dotted about the nearby meadows, sleep between two and four guests each, as do the four secluded woodland bell tents.

Exclusive hire of the site means that 3,300 acres are all yours. Wake up and head for a wild swim at Elmey's private beach, take a walk among the fields and streams and look out for falcons, barn owls and dragonflies, or just swing in a hammock with a good book and a bloody Mary.

Food and drink is taken care of by the on site team. Elmley doesn't have a restaurant, instead you and your party will be catered to with breakfast brought to your door, picnic lunches to enjoy alfresco, a woodfired menu of pizza and salads for the summer months and a warming supper menu during autumn and winter. All food is cooked from scratch in the farm kitchen and is seasonal and locally sourced.

Elmley is the perfect rustic luxe retreat, a breathtaking piece of wilderness where sweeping views, salt marsh and sunsets meet - and only just over an hour from London. Talk to the team about hosting your unforgettable bespoke event here.

We stayed at the Kingshill Farmhouse on the Elmley Nature Reserve in early December 2019. The farmhouse has been recently renovated and it was a superb choice for a big family party (ten adults and four children) spread over a long weekend. Even in the house we never felt cramped and of course there is a fantastic area for walking that really is on your doorstep. The kitchen was brilliantly equipped for self-catering (three ovens, two dishwashers!), there were three sitting rooms for people who wanted to do their own thing, a dining room that would seat twelve, and stunning bedrooms with luxurious bathrooms en-suite. We were all impressed by the attention to styling and detail and the owners had paid. We were unable to find fault with this wonderful place.
