Leave behind the noise and stress of everyday life and relax in the peace and tranquility of this lovely traditional stone cottage situated in pretty Scottish farmland.
The cottage sits against the resplendent backdrop of farm and woodland which rolls as far as the eye can see. Traditional on the outside, once inside guests experience a high level of style and luxury which guarantees an easy, relaxing holiday.
A large wooden terrace stretches around the entirety of the cottage giving guests plenty of scope to take in those stunning views. There is a private, enclosed deck area with dining furniture and comfy chairs where guests can kick back with cold drinks and relax on long summer days. Sliding patio doors pull back to allow for easy access between the inside and out.
Step into the stylish simplicity of the large family-sized kitchen. Cool white units cover the walls alongside all the modern appliances anyone could require for creating magical meals from the wonderful local produce.
The polished concrete floors and white washed walls provide the clean, sleek backdrop to this modern, stylish home. The pale decor maximises the natural light which pours in through the many windows and roof lights creating an uplifting and relaxing atmosphere.
A large kitchen dining table sits in the centre of the room with a wonderful vantage point of the lovely views. Be sure to take time out from cooking to gaze out of the windows and breathe in the fresh country air.
After dinner, retire to the first floor living room with its comfy sofas and flat screen television. Settle in for a movie or make the most of the late summer light and take in the panoramic view.
When it comes to bedtime, there are two lovely rooms to chose from, a twin and a double with a superking, which can also be set up as a twin if required. Snuggle under crisp linens and quality bedding for a restorative night's sleep, undisturbed bar the occasional hoot of an owl. Pull the blinds down on windows for a sensory shut down or leave them open for an early morning light bath.
Each room is served by a modern bathroom, one with a rainfall shower and the other boasts a luxurious freestanding tub.
There are lots of lovely walks from the doorstep and for anyone who needs to destress, a BACP registered counsellor can take a stroll with you, and can also visit the cottage. Those wanting to see more of the local area can head to nearby Jedburgh. It has plenty of independent shops, where guests can pick up some local produce, and pubs, restaurants and cafes to enjoy a bite to eat. The town is home to one of Scotland's largest abbeys and Castle Jail is also worth a visit.

Have you stayed here?
Leave a reviewWe absolutely loved our stay here. The cottage is beautifully designed and was perfect for a family gathering in the country. The huge kitchen with a big farmhouse table to gather round spills out onto a deck with fantastic views out to the rolling borders countryside. All who visited were enthralled. We loved visiting the Borders Book Festival and a trip to Main Street Trading is a must as is Melrose, Dryburgh Abbey and Abbotsford. There is much to explore locally or to just stay and enjoy the farm and animals. The attention to detail and design in this cottage is exceptional, as it the view from the upstairs snug! Thank you
