Hollins Farmhouse sits nestled within ancient farmsteads surrounded by wonderful walking routes with picture perfect views and would be an ideal getaway for a large multi-generational family or a group of friends seeking a tranquil country holiday.

On arrival you'll be delighted by this impressive and characterful stone-built house and you'll enter the property via a pretty flagstone courtyard into the boot room where you can unburden yourself of coats and wellies.

Make your way through the utility room and into the large, warm and inviting open-plan farmhouse kitchen and dining room. A great spot for a welcome drink, the kitchen is fully equipped with a double hob and oven and a huge American-style fridge freezer ready to be filled with delicious treats. Sit at the breakfast bar and help the cook whip up a feast to be enjoyed at the dining table by the fireplace which comfortably seats 10.

As you walk through the house you'll find many original features including period windows, wooden beams and terracotta tiled floors. There are two living rooms on the ground floor, the larger of which has high ceilings, a big corner sofa and a jet-master open fire where you can curl up with a book or take in the views through the bay window. The second smaller study is very cosy with a sofa and armchairs, a crackling fire and a smart TV, perfect for movie nights.

The first floor has four bedrooms. A large master and a second generous room both with south-facing windows and views of the River Yore. Big comfy beds with crisp linens can be zip linked to make super-kings or twins depending on your needs. High ceilings and original fireplaces invite you to laze in bed with a cuppa. They share an elegant bathroom with a shower and plenty of storage.

The third and fourth bedrooms are equally stylish and boast window seats so you can take in the view with your coffee. They also share a bathroom with a deep tub and a separate shower. There's a snug on this level as well which has two built-in children's beds (up to 5' 4”) and a TV. Up the staircase you'll find a pretty room with vaulted ceilings, painted beams and a smart TV you can watch from the comfort of the bed. Another bathroom boasts a roll-top tub with views of Penn Hill, offering the perfect spot for an idyllic soak.

The garden is a delight in its own right. Sheltered by rustic brick and stone pointed walls on the south side of the house it offers a stunning backdrop where you can enjoy a soak in the hot tub, or a drink on the patio. There's a purpose built stone gazebo with fairy lights and a table for dining alfresco beneath beautifully crafted pine beams. There's also an office in the courtyard with wifi providing a place to do work.

Hollins Farm is a great base for exploring the area and you'll be right on the national cycle network. From the doorstep you can head out along the path and walk the River Cover up to the historic stepping stones to Hallo Bridge. Head back via East Witton and pay a visit to The Blue Lion dining pub for a great post walk meal. There's also a wonderful local pub called The Cover Bridge Inn. You'll be five minutes form Middleham, a charming town with great fish and chips and an excellent village shop.
