Henge Estate is a renovated Georgian estate in Wiltshire that sleeps up to 24 guests. Set on 25 generous acres of gardens and land, the property is ideal for small and large parties alike looking for peace and quiet in the countryside. The games lawn is also a fantastic addition to Henge Estate’s grounds. With facilities for playing croquet, rounders, minigolf, cricket and more, guests will have plenty of space to make the most of the fresh air and sunshine during their stay.
The property also offers access to an onsite tennis court, walled garden, children’s playground, terrace and an above-ground pool, helping you stave off boredom in just about any way imaginable.
With 9 - 11 bedrooms containing mostly superking and zip-and-link twins, the beds can be altered to accommodate your desired mix of couples and singles. The fully equipped kitchen boasts a hob, oven, coffeemaker and a kettle as well as luxury finishings. Additionally, every bedrooms has its own private bathroom to make guests as comfortable as possible.
Few properties are better placed to explore the highlights of rural Wiltshire than Henge Estate. The house is located just a six-minute drive away from Stonehenge, one of the world’s most significant historical sites. Worth a visit just for its atmosphere alone, the mysterious Neolithic site attracts tourists from across the globe to marvel at its ingenious structure and layout.
In fact, the area surrounding Henge Estate is a treasure trove for history enthusiasts. In addition to Stonehenge, guests will find that the property is a short drive away from other important Neolithic sites such as Woodhenge and the Durrington Walls, Avebury Henge, the Andover Iron Age Museum and the castles of Old Wardour and Ludgershall.
Guests looking to take things at a slower pace may wish to explore the property’s local village of Shrewton. Home to a charming pub in the Plume of Feathers, Shrewton is the ideal place for a leisurely weekend stroll. Other nearby villages, cities and sites worth a visit include Salisbury, the picturesque hamlet of Lower Chicksgrove and the stunning valley of Lower Woodford.
