Nestled in the charming and bustling historic city of Oxford, Greyfriars Hideaway is a pair of beautifully maintained seventeenth-century cottages, sharing a pretty and romantic courtyard. These cottages are available to rent as individual spaces or one large, combined property for parties of up to twelve. Ideally located for access to the bustling and picturesque historic city centre, Greyfriars Hideaway is the perfect retreat either for smaller groups looking for a stylish Oxford getaway, or larger groups like family reunions or wedding parties.
With access via a secure and private gateway, and a shared courtyard garden alive with greenery and boasting its own fountain, Greyfriars Hideaway is a great way to enjoy privacy and outdoor space while remaining centrally located and with easy access to bars, shops and the colleges. The Masters Lodgings is a four-person space, comprising two whole-floor suites, and brimming with contemporary furnishings and entertainment systems. The property benefits from a SONOS integrated sound system, flatscreen televisions and a first-rate kitchen and butler's pantry, with plenty of living and dining space. Across the courtyard is Cloisters, a larger property with four suite-style spaces, as well as an impressive kitchen, a quirky, subtle aesthetic, and the same array of entertainment devices and systems.
Everything about the two spaces has been designed, fitted and decorated with a no-compromise approach to comfort, luxury and elegance. The rooms are large, with high ceilings and spacious living areas. The kitchens in both houses are well equipped, and throughout the entirety of Greyfriars Hideaway you'll find fine wallpaper, world-class furniture, and subtle, tasteful art pieces. These are the sorts of houses where timeless grandeur and sophistication coexist with tranquility and cosiness. From the seventeenth century ornate plasterwork on the ceilings to the night time views of the illuminated Oxford Castle, Greyfriars Hideaway is a tasteful and comfy self-catering spot where everything about the aesthetic is unique, pleasing, and will leave you feeling restored.
Oxford is proud of its heritage as one of England's oldest and most beautiful university towns, with a storied past, ornate beauty, and a vibrant social scene.
