Set on a traditional working farm, Great Langdale Glamping offers up to two guests a snug retreat in the epic Lake District in Cumbria. Couples, friends or a solo-traveller will be delighted with what they find here. The luxury pod has everything needed for a comfortable and unforgettable stay in this awe-inspiring part of the world, with one of the most spectacular views imaginable and your very own wood-fired hot tub. Plus, thanks to its underfloor heating and log-burner, it doesn't matter what time of year, guests will be kept nice and toasty in this handcrafted timber cabin. And thanks to its excellent location, visitors have access to all manner of sites and fells famed in this region.
The glamping pod at Great Langdale has been expertly crafted with a bespoke design, making it an extra special place to settle for a few days of rest, relaxation and fresh air. The cabin benefits from a number of windows, letting in the natural light and allowing glimpses of the impressive views over the farm and out to the nearby peaks. A sumptuous double bed, ensuite bathroom and a kitchen with hob make this a real home away from home, while the underfloor heating and log-burner are a welcome touch in the chilly evenings. Guests can also make use of their own private wood-fired hot tub, which offers an added splash of luxury throughout their stay.
Based on a family-run farm, it's common for guests here to be among the animals while outside, with lambing, shearing and gathering all taking place during key times of the year. The valley itself covers over 12,000 acres, so guests will never feel cooped up! The surrounding fells include Pike O'Blisco, Crinkle Crags and Rossett Pike. Walkers are truly spoilt for choice not only with the number of routes, but with the fantastic scenery all around them. Just a 15-minute drive will land visitors in the picturesque village of Coniston and the town of Ambleside, while Grasmere is just 5-minutes away.

Leave a reviewStayed here on a mon/fri break, glamping pod was spot on, nicely laid out, could do with a little folding table just to put cups on when having a cuppa, we brought the deckchairs in as well to have something to sit on, nice bathroom, towels were provided, double bed was very comfortable, kids were ok on the sofa bed, kitchenette was adequate with pots an pans provided, and a nice little welcome gift on arrival. The area itself is quite stunning with views of the valley from your door, on Tuesday we were greeted by the rooster and chickens, which was nice, also we tried the hot tub which was nice and relaxing, unfortunately we could'nt have a bbq because of the rain, which it did every day except Wednesday, but thats the british summer for ya. One thing dont let the bugs put you off it really is a stunning area and remember it's a working farm with farm noises. Would I recommend this place for a holiday, YES I would.
