In the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, in the Highland village of Nethy Bridge is a gorgeous little self-catering bolt hole. Culvardie, a recently renovated cottage, offers countryside charm and convenient modern living in one neat package. All mod cons are on offer here, while the interior has been lovingly decorated by the owners. Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests (perfect for families and friends alike), while the outdoor barbeque area makes for the perfect evening relaxation spot. For those in love with the great outdoors, its position in the Scottish Highlands - one of the UK's largest National Parks - provides ample opportunity for exploration and adventure. Just make sure to bring your walking boots!
The living area has ample seating, all oriented around the cosy log burner and a flat screen TV. The kitchen has lots of workspace and all mod cons necessary for cooking up a storm, while the adjacent, well-lit dining area houses a table which comfortably sits six guests, making dinner times a joy.
There are three bedrooms in all: the teal double, the silver double, and the white twin, all of which offer a great night's sleep in super comfy beds. The bathroom has a WC, basin, a shower and a bath. There's also a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer for added convenience. Guests can step outside and onto the enclosed garden where you will find a lawn to the front. To the rear is the patio area, complete with a BBQ, outdoor seating, and a firepit making it the ideal spot to enjoy evening meals or morning coffees. There's also a garden shed where bikes and kayaks/canoes can be safely stored.
The village of Nethy Bridge and the surrounding area is replete with beautiful walking and cycling trails (bikes can be hired nearby at Ride Cairngorm in Boat of Garten). The Caledonian Pine Forest in the Abernethy Nature Reserve is well worth a visit too. Within a short walk, you will also find a play park, football pitch, tennis courts and Abernethy Golf Course.
