This marvellous, contemporary home in rural Powys offers both couples or groups of up to seven guests a relaxing place to unwind amidst nature. After a day hiking the hills, return to Cnocell y Coed and hop into your private hot tub with a glass of bubbles or sit on the sofas on your terrace and take in the sprawling vista as you catch up with loved ones.

Stepping inside, the cabin has a nice, cosy open-plan living space that features a lounge area, a modern kitchen and a dining space. The lounge has a huge leather sofa and a comfy reading nook as well as big sliding glass doors that let the outside in. This is a nice place to unwind whilst still enjoying the view. There’s even underfloor heating downstairs from air source heat pump, so you can ensure your toes stay toasty and warm throughout your stay.

The modern kitchen has everything you’ll need to whip up delicious feasts throughout your stay, including an oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. There’s even a wine cooler so you can enjoy a nice crisp glass of wine to kick-off your evening in style. Once dinner’s ready, dine together on the spacious, wooden dining table that offers you the perfect place to enjoy meals that stretch long into the night. And, when the weather’s warm, you can grill on the charcoal BBQ outside (please bring your own charcoal and lighting materials) before dining alfresco in the fresh Powys air.

When bedtime beckons, the cabin sleeps five guests, with space for an extra two adults if needed. There’s one super-comfy king size bed and three singles on offer, all of which offer a restful night’s sleep. Then there’s space for an additional two guests (at a slight added cost) on the fold-out sofa bed. There’s also a travel cot available on request should you wish to bring a babe in arms with you on your trip.

When it comes to filling your days, you may want to spend hours soaking it up in the hot tub, and who could blame you? However, Cnocell y Coed also comes with a selection of books and board games and even some binoculars, which allow you to really make the most of the amazing views - there are even two lookout nests in the nearby woods so you can settle in and see what wildlife you can spot. And in the evenings you’ll love sitting around the firepit, toasting marshmallows whilst gazing up at the beautiful starry night sky.

Radnorshire, located in the heart of Wales, is home to a diverse range of wildlife that is unique to the area. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the large number of birds and animals inhabiting the ancient wood nearby.

The region situated between the Cambrian Mountains and the Brecon Beacons is recognised as Mid-Wales. This picturesque and varied region of Wales features undulating hills, woodlands, rivers and valleys just waiting to be explored.

Characterised by a low population density, the region is dotted with small villages and towns. Among them, Llandrindod Wells stands out as the largest town, renowned for its Victorian architecture and natural springs. Other noteworthy towns that you could visit in the vicinity include Builth Wells, Rhayader and Brecon.
