Located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on Cornwall's Lands’ End peninsula is Chy Barnett. Owned by the same family since the 1930s, the house has been afforded the kind of love and attention one could expect from a generational family home. With its wild Atlantic views just off the Cornish coast and easy access to nearby beaches, this four-bedroom self-catering stay is a dream for anybody wanting to get away from the rat race of the city and lose themselves for a few days of rest and relaxation. And for those who are itching for a taste of urban life, the seaside towns of Penzance and St Ives are just a short drive away.
The main communal areas are comprised of the kitchen, sitting room, dining room and a sunroom. The charming kitchen is equipped with all mod cons necessary to make cooking a breeze while the dining room has a table for eight guests and a cosy wood burning stove. The living room has ample seating, a television and a window with delightful ocean views. The sunroom sits to the side of the house and has access to the spacious garden, making it a lovely spot to sit with a book after a day on the beach. The garden is ideal for kids, with lots of space to run and play. Or, if you fancy, why not get a BBQ going and dine al fresco when the sun is shining?
There are four bedrooms in all and the house offers a super king master bedroom, one twin to either side of the master, and an additional single room on the ground floor. The three first floor bedrooms all avail of striking sea views and each room has super-comfy beds that guarantee a fantastic night's sleep. The main family bathroom is also on the first floor - complete with a bath/shower, basin and a WC - while a wet room is located on the ground floor.
Chy Barnett has the envious accolade of being set among some of the UK's most beautiful scenery, with rugged coastline, sandy beaches and undulating fields all within arm's reach. All of this makes it a dream for those who enjoy a good country walk or cycle. Additionally, the South West Coastal Path is just a five-minute stroll from the house. The region is also dotted with beaches that make it a surfer's paradise. The seaside town of St Ives can be found a short drive along one of Britain's most scenic stretches of coastline, offering a wide range of shops, cafés and restaurants.
