The cottage owners have renovated former farm buildings into a group of luxury self-catering cottages all offering every comfort to guests. They are all centrally heated with underfloor heating, most have wood burners and each cottage has a private garden/patio area. Set in 19 stunning acres of grass and woodlands with views which reach out across meadows conducive to a relaxing break.
All have lovely, well-equipped farmhouse style kitchens with stone floors and traditional features including timber roof beams. The interior design enhances the cosy character of the cottages yet the sympathetic renovations have incorporated the contemporary touches essential for guests to experience a truly luxurious stay.
Our two bedroom cottages include the Forge which sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and has lovely views across the fields, Foldyard is all on the ground floor and also sleeps four. The Stables boasts a cosy wood burner and courtyard garden, it sleeps 4 and there is room in this cottage for an extra child bed. The Cart House and Courtyard are also available as two bedroom ground floor cottages.
Cart House when booked as a four bedroom cottage is incredibly spacious and perfect for two or three families holidaying together, it has a fabulous open plan kitchen/dining/living area with vaulted ceiling with wooden timbers running across the ceiling. The Granary sleeps six in three bedrooms and Barn House sleeps eight in four bedrooms, it can be adjoined to Foldyard and be rented as a magnificent 'High Barn' which sleeps 12 and has several ground floor bedrooms and wet rooms.
The Yorkshire Wolds, home to the Broadgate Farm Holiday Cottages, is a broad crescent of rolling chalk hills and valleys and represents some of the best bits of county. Incorporating the market towns of Driffield and Beverley, and the lively city of Hull, it offers plenty for visitors to enjoy whether they are looking for an action packed outdoor adventure holiday or a relaxing break enjoying the peace and exploring the historic sites in the area. Nearby is the pretty village Walkington, which is just a short stroll away and home to several lovely pubs, a couple of which offer great food, and there's also a nice coffee shop. Beverley is also walking distance away, and you can stock up on provisions at its famous market and enjoy a lovely picnic in a pretty walk through the Beverley Westwood..

Leave a reviewWould highly recommend these cottages where we had a warm welcome on arrival. Ours were comfortable, very clean and and warm. Great for families, with tables seating 10 people, and provided with a generous number of mugs, plates, cutlery and good kitchen utensils. Very comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Meets high standards for safety and emergency lighting. Good parking and an impressive area for recycling 'almost everything'! Very accessible for Beverley town and bracing walks on Beverley Westwood.
