Bramble Cottage can be found at the end of a country lane, surrounded by green, rolling fields, hedges and woodland. A pretty garden surrounds the property and children will love playing with the WigWam and Swingball set which are left on the lawn for visitors to enjoy.
After days out tramping the trails, take off muddy boots in the pretty hallway, where visitors find plenty of coat hooks and shoe stands to stash raincoats and binoculars, walking boots and wellies. A large vintage oval mirror reflects light from the small window to fill the space with sunshine.
Head directly into the smart modern kitchen for mugs of hot tea and cake. This is a kitchen for cooks. Appliances are high spec, pans and knives are good quality and every implement needed can be found for creating family meals in this stylish space. Cool pink compliments the stripped wooden floorboards and wooden doors add character to this lovely space. Mealtimes can be enjoyed at the wooden circular table, with seating for four. It sits opposite a large window which looks out over the countryside. Enjoy leisurely breakfasts at the table, while make exciting plans for the day ahead.
When it's time to just chill, the living area is cosy and welcoming. Warm toes before the wood burning fire and sink into the handsome brown leather sofa and armchairs. A tartan rug and wooden furniture bearing deer motifs give a charming nod to the cottage's location. When it's time for some shut eye, guests will have no trouble dropping into a deep, restful sleep in the peaceful bedrooms. A neutral decor, wooden furniture and crisp linens create a calm environment and the windows offer more views over the beautiful green countryside beyond.
The cottage has a good-sized family bathroom. The deep tub is the perfect place to soak away muscle aches and reflect on the lovely memories being made. There is also a standalone shower and snuggly bath towels, and luxurious toiletries are provided.
Bramble Cottage is very well located. It is near to the Scottish Castle Trail, there are many walking paths which lead from the front door and for those looking for some city-life, Aberdeen is just a 30 minute drive away. The nearest town is Huntly, head over to pick up supplies, grab a picnic and explore the castle ruins. Leave room for a taste of two of the town's most famous delicacies, Rizza's of Huntly ice cream and Dean's of Huntly shortbread.
