Situated in the heart of the Chilterns National Landscape, this cosy cabin for two offers couples a beautiful escape away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Badger’s Bower sleeps two guests, providing a romantic retreat in peace.
Hand-built in the style of the ‘tin tabernacles’ that once existed across Britain, Badgers Bower is a marvellous retreat for two sits within a secluded woodland glade.
Inside, this cabin has whitewashed walls and warming rugs on the floor and a quaint kitchenette equipped with some basics such as tea, coffee, salt/pepper and cooking oil.
However, the striking feature inside Badger’s Bower is the opulent free-standing bathtub that sits in the main living space next to a big window, providing you and your loved one with the chance to enjoy an opulent soak with a view. After your bath, hop into the king size bed and enjoy a deep sleep in peaceful surroundings.
Stepping outside you’ve got a private garden with outdoor seating and a hammock for relaxing with a drink in hand. There's also space for outdoor cooking on the Kadai metal bowl with two rocking chairs.
Guests staying at the cabin will also have the option to make use of their own private hot tub and the sauna during their stay. These are both optional extras that can be pre-booked, so do mention these to the owners when booking your stay if you wish to make use of them. And, the cabin also has its own firepit where you can sit and warm your toes as the stars come out above.
Set in the heart of the stunning Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the charming village of Wendover (a five-minute walk from your door) is a dream for outdoor lovers and also offers an array of lovely pubs, restaurants and cafes. Walkers can explore the iconic Ridgeway National Trail, climb Coombe Hill for breathtaking views, or lose themselves in the enchanting Wendover Woods.
Cyclists will love the rolling routes of the Chilterns Cycleway, while history buffs can step back in time at the 11th-century St Mary’s Church or delve into the world of storytelling at the nearby Roald Dahl Museum in Great Missenden. With cosy country pubs, quirky independent shops, and plenty of wildlife to spot along the way, this is the perfect countryside escape.
