Set a stone’s throw from Brighton’s iconic beach, Hotel Pelirocco has nineteen individually themed rooms to suit all tastes. From a ‘Tropical Paradise’ complete with a hammock to a room dedicated to David Bowie, each room has been meticulously designed to offer a unique experience. The central location means that you’re in the heart of the action, with the beachfront on your doorstep and the famous Lanes just a short stroll away.
Whatever you’re in the mood for, there’s a room for you. Celebrate Motown in the ‘Soul Supreme’ room with a hand-painted mural of the Supremes above the double bed and a collection of soul on vinyl to play on the vintage-style record player. If dub and reggae are more your thing, the Jamaican-themed ‘Pressure Sounds’ features unique Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry wallpaper and is regularly updated with artwork from the record label.
For those looking to lie back and relax, head to the top floor to ‘Cloud Cuckoo Land’ for a serene retreat with fantastic views down to the seafront. Any Star Wars fans should head straight to ‘Lord Vader’s Quarters’, a quirky twin room with bunk beds and complete with authentic memorabilia from the films.
Several of the rooms have been designed by local Brighton artists, such as the ‘Dupenny Boudoir’. This is a room for two with a vintage feel that has been styled by local illustrator Emily Dupen with striking black and white burlesque wallpaper from Dupenny Design and celebrating all things retro and pin-up. Or perhaps you’d prefer the relaxing ‘Do Knit Disturb’ created by local knitwear and crochet artist, Kate ‘Cardigan’ Jenkins. Everything from the curtains to the bed-cover, to the lampshade, has been knitted.
Guests can also make use of the hotel bar where they can enjoy a nice cocktail, or a tasty meal before heading out to explore the marvellous city of Brighton and Hove. Located in the heart of Brighton in the historic Regency Square, Hotel Pelirocco is just metres away from the seafront and the city’s famous pebble beach. The i360, a pod that takes visitors 450ft up in the air for stunning 360-degree views across Brighton, the South Downs and out to sea, is located on the seafront opposite the square. Wander down to Palace Pier and try your luck in the arcade or head into town and do a bit of shopping in the Lanes. Brighton is surrounded by some beautiful countryside and you can be in the South Downs in no time. Head up to Devil’s Dyke or out to Seven Sisters for walks with stunning views.
