Hidden away in the Norfolk countryside, Honey Pot Meadow is a secluded spot with two luxurious shepherd’s huts positioned to make the most of the scenery. Perfect for a romantic getaway, each of the huts is tucked away on its own to maximise privacy and features an elevated ‘Sundowner’ living and cooking area. In the evenings, sit back in your wood-fired hot tub and take in the beautiful views of the surrounding meadow and lakes.
The two shepherd’s huts, Cowslip and Orchid, have been beautifully furnished with luxurious king-sized beds and comfy sofas to snuggle up on. There’s an ensuite bathroom with environmentally friendly toiletries by Bramley provided and a living area with a woodburner to keep you toasty whatever the weather outside. Crisp white bed linen, soft bathrobes and plenty of fluffy pillows and cushions are all there to keep you cosy and help you relax.
The huts are well-kitted out when it comes to cooking facilities with a small kitchen space inside each hut to get you started in the morning. You’ll find more cooking space in the Sundowner and there’s also a BBQ and an Ooni pizza oven. There’s another comfy sofa in the Sundowner where you can enjoy a relaxed drink in the evening, or you can sit out on the terrace and make the most of the view. As the sun goes down, get a fire going in the fire pit and toast some marshmallows after a relaxing dip in the hot tub.
For those looking to escape the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature, there’s plenty to do on the site itself. Wander through the surrounding woodlands and meadows and see if you can spot any of the local wildlife. Go for a refreshing swim in one of the lakes or go for a relaxing paddle in the rowing boat or on one of the paddleboards or kayaks. There are longer walks around the rest of the farm and surrounding countryside where you might stumble across the Welsh mountain ponies or wild deer. If you want to explore further afield, the Norfolk Broads and Thetford Forest are nearby. The beautiful medieval city of Norwich is also a short drive away for a complete change of scene.
