West Grange Hall and Annex stands as a test of time against the rugged natural landscapes of Northumberland. The 19th century stone manor house boasts period features such as oak floors, high ceilings, huge fireplaces and large reception rooms. With space for 26 guests across 12 stunning bedrooms, West Grange Hall and Annex is the perfect place to relax, recharge and reconnect with friends and family.

West Grange Hall sleeps up to 20 guests across 10 magnificent bedrooms, while the newly renovated annex sleeps six within two bedrooms. You can hire both properties together, offering flexible accommodation for friends and family, or rent each separately for smaller groups.

As you drive up the tree-lined gravel drive, the aged stone manor house with adjoining annex imposes itself, offering an oasis of calm against the windswept rural surroundings. Nestled among mature trees and open pastures, it’s a grand and secluded space to escape the modern world. Enter through the front door and you’re greeted by a grand central entrance hall with an imposing staircase into the upper floors.

Moving through West Grange Hall, the original oak floorboards, cavernous hallways and grand reception rooms, with large windows and shutters, offer plenty of space for large groups to unwind. The drawing room boasts plenty of large sofas and a huge TV for those cosy movie nights, and should you prefer something more peaceful, the library offers a fantastic place to get lost in a good book. In the winter months, light one of the huge period fireplaces and escape the harsh Northumberland weather outside.

West Grange Hall is built for entertaining, and the large fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to feed up to 26 hungry mouths morning, noon and night. For a special occasion, why not get dressed up and eat your evening meal in the formal dining room? For something more relaxed, why not take your meal to the outdoor seating area for some alfresco dining in the summer months?

As the night draws in and it’s time to head to bed, the first and second floors boast a range of 10 twin, double and king size rooms resplendent with luxury bedding and grand decor. The shared bathrooms all boast fabulous baths, walk-in showers and thick towels. After a long day spent exploring the wilds of Northumberland, there’s nothing like sinking into a deep, hot bath.

The Annex, located behind the main house, is a bright space, with a beautifully fitted kitchen, plus comfortable living area and spotless family bathroom. There are two bedrooms sleeping up to six guests. The Annex makes a lovely quiet retreat from the main hall, or a beautiful standalone holiday rental.

Perfectly located to explore Northumberland, West Grange Hall and Annex is your perfect base. Northumberland National Park, North Pennines AONB and the Northumberland Coast National Landscape are within easy driving distance and offer a range of walking and cycling trails to explore the natural world. Although nestled in a very rural area, the nearby town of Morpeth has all the shops you need to stock up on the essentials, while the bustling city of Newcastle with its shops, attractions and nightlife is a 45-minute drive.
