Situated directly on the shores of Loch Rannoch with views of Ben Alder, this truly charming cottage offers groups of up to four a cosy and scenic retreat in rural Perthshire. With beautiful wallpaper throughout, cosy furnishings and hand-picked antiques, this is an extremely characterful cottage that we’re sure you’ll love.
Once you arrive, gather in the warm living room with its big comfy sofa and lovely armchairs and throw some logs on the wood-burning fireplace. This allows you to keep your toes toasty and warm as you delve into a good book or chat the afternoon away with a drink in hand.
The lounge is part of a large open plan space, where you’ll also find the quaint kitchenette, with its pastel blue units, butler sink and modern amenities. Whip up a feast as you chat to your loved ones in the lounge, then dine together on the round dining table that also shares the space.
Before you head up to bed, hop into the roll-top bathtub in the ground-floor family bathroom. This is the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day out exploring the area. Then, make your way upstairs to the two charming bedrooms, which are connected by a family shower room for added convenience. One of the bedrooms features a super-king size bed and the other has a pair of twins that can be arranged as a super-king upon request.
Stepping outside, the cottage has its own west-facing terrace, with a cosy firepit where you can warm yourself as the stars come out above. The garden is a lovely spot to settle in with an afternoon drink or dine alfresco when the sun is shining.
When it comes to filling your days, wander the shores of the loch or get out on the water with the kayaks provided. This offers a fantastic way to see the local scenery, however, there are also bikes available should you wish to explore on two wheels.
You can also head out and wander through ancient woodlands, where towering trees and vibrant rhododendrons frame breathtaking views of Schiehallion and Ben Alder. Hike rugged trails that wind through vast moorlands and spot red deer, ospreys and golden eagles up above. In the evening, unwind beneath a sky ablaze with stars, far from city lights.
