Impressive 16th century house with stunning original features, luxury amenities and fabulous garden with hot tub in beautiful Beaumaris, Anglesey.
Ty Pinc is an absolute gem nestled outside the walls of the town of Beaumaris. Originally part of Tros yr Afon Manor House this stunning 16th century home has undergone a major refurbishment revealing original A-frame beams, wooden timbers and a forgotten Tudor wall painting which has been lovingly restored. All of these original features have been seamlessly blended with luxurious modern amenities, particularly in the bathrooms and kitchen, creating a lovely holiday getaway for up to 12 people seeking opulence and style in a beautiful seaside town.
A perfect place to gather together upon arrival would be the magnificent Green Salon on the first floor, originally part of the Tudor Hall, which has two large bay windows providing breathtaking views over the Menai Strait to Eryri (Snowdonia). Fix a drink at the stylish bar, settle into the comfy antique furniture and catch up beneath the revealed A-frames.
Downstairs is another lounge area, home to the impressive Tudor wall painting depicting foliage and heraldry. There are vertical beams in their original condition and the room has been filled with comfortable antique sofas, beautiful antiques and an original fireplace with a gas fire where everyone can relax after a day of exploring and enjoy a film on the large free view TV.
The kitchen is modern, large and fully equipped for the preparation of wonderful meals which you can enjoy together at the big dining table made by renowned furniture maker, Edward Barnsley. Take your final drink out into the courtyard and watch the stars from the rattan seating. And if you're feeling particularly decadent you can grab a towel and sink into the hot tub!
When it's time for bed you have some stunning bedrooms to choose from. There are six in total, and all have their own ensuite bathroom with heated towel rails and excellent showers or baths. Every room has luxurious beds, some can be made into twins, and the rooms are filled with unique furniture and decorated with fascinating wallpapers ranging from Lacroix to William Morris.
In the morning you can take your coffee in the garden and admire the glorious views as you make your plans for the day. Take a hike in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, wander the many coastal paths of Anglesey and pay a visit to the Gaol for a guided tour. You can also enjoy an ice cream on the beach whilst the kids go crabbing, take a boat to Puffin Island or just hole up in The Bull's Head Inn with a cold pint and a hot lunch.
Beaumaris is a bustling seaside town with plenty of restaurants, bars and tea shops for you to explore and a visit to this lovely town wouldn't be complete without a turn around the UN World Heritage Site Beaumaris Castle. At the end of the day, return to Ty Pinc, fire up the BBQ, pop open the fizz and watch the sun set over Menai Strait.
