This self contained luxury barn is an absolute gem and would be perfect for a deliciously romantic getaway for two, or two couples who fancy a very high-end holiday in gorgeous surroundings.

One of five boutique barn retreats, The Old Parlour has been beautifully designed by the owners and boasts a cosy and charming open plan interior that you'll want to live in forever. You'll enter to find a warm, luxurious living space with high ceilings and everything you could need to unwind.

The open plan kitchen is modern and fully equipped for creating delicious meals to be enjoyed at the lovely, wooden six seater dining table. After you've enjoyed your meal you might like to get cosy on the big corner sofa and snuggle your toes in the faux furs draped everywhere, light up the Clearview log burner, pour another glass of wine and enjoy a movie on the 50” flat screen 3D TV, with surround sound. A blissful way to end the evening.

Alternatively, if it's a warm and pleasant night you might choose to grab a bottle and mooch out to your own private courtyard which is a masterclass in perfect alfresco chill spaces. You could light the chimenea and settle on the undercover sofa with its plump cushions, or really go for it and swing open the doors of the potting shed where you'll find a large roll top copper bath in a perfectly insulated space just waiting to be filled with bubbles. The courtyard also has a BBQ if you fancy an outdoor meal in the summer.

When it's time for bed you have two lovely rooms to choose from, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor which is a mezzanine level overlooking the living space below. The ground floor houses a double and the mezzanine a king size bed. Both are wonderfully comfortable with White Company bed linen and complimentary robes and towels, decorated in muted colours to provide a peaceful, calming space for a good night's sleep. Start your day with an invigorating shower in the marble-tiled wet room or a long lazy bath in the Potting Shed before making use of the coffee machine and planning your day.

When it's time to head out there's something to suit all tastes. There are some wonderful walks in the beautiful Bickerton Hills and the stunning Sandstone Trails which are just up the road from the house. If you fancy a tipple, your local excellent pub is The Cholmondeley Arms, which not only serves a great pint and a meal but has also become a Gin Distillery! The Dusty Miller, a converted Barn, serves a great breakfast. And if you fancy a bit of history head to Cholmondeley Castle for a wander around and end it with a luxurious afternoon tea in the grounds. If you just want to be pampered you can choose to either pay a visit to the Health Skin Spa in Nantwich or book an in-house massage at the Old Parlour.
