You won’t be surprised to hear that The Old Butchers used to be the butchers shop in the pretty village of Stoke Fleming, and this perfectly appointed home retains some of the original features such as the tiles and hanging rails. The mix of industrial chic and stunning soft furnishings give the property a New York studio vibe while the amenities will ensure you have everything you need for a fantastic stay.
The stylishly accessorised, open plan living area contains a comfortable velvet sofa and foot stool with WiFi, a Smart TV and a speaker. This makes a cosy spot to curl up with a book or film or to challenge your companion to some board games. You will also find a selection of guidebooks and novels to keep you entertained.
The compact kitchenette contains a sink, fridge, microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle and toaster, and although there is no oven or hob, the village has a variety of venues where you can indulge your gastronomic desires.
The upstairs mezzanine sleeping area is accessed by a steep wooden stairway and is a cosy loft style space with a comfortably furnished double bed, perfect for getting snug at the end of a long day’s exploring.
The luxury shower room contains a waterfall shower, plenty of fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries.
Large patio doors open out from the open plan living area onto a patio which is furnished with table, chairs and a hanging egg seat. The perfect spot to relax with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and watch village life go by. There are even glimpses of the sea, and the area is secure if you want to bring your furry friend with you.
The beautiful town of Dartmouth with its selection of shops, bars and restaurants is nearby, and it is only a 15-minute walk to the award-winning Blackpool Sands Beach. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, whether a keen walker or cyclist, you will love the location right on the Southwest Coast Path. Devon is a slice of heaven and is the perfect year-round destination for a short break or holiday.

Leave a reviewBooked this for parents for their anniversary; communication was excellent and Emma went above & beyond for me to make it a little bit special. Parents loved their stay, said everything was perfect and bedding smelt amazing and that everything that could be thought of already had been. Thank you Emma x

Wow…… Firstly Emma is a wonderful host, who is so informative, helpful and friendly on email. All the information we were given set us up for our 2 day birthday break away. When we arrived the heating was on, Alexa was playing and we settled in very nicely straight away. All the little details, like milk, water, toiletries, plants, etc made our life easier but also felt like we were staying in a home away from home. We went off exploring around the village and made ourselves comfortable at the local pub which was busy due to the rugby, but managed to sit outside in the early spring sunshine. We loved our quiet it was and we were very undisturbed. Dartmouth was 8 minutes away where we had lunch before our check in. We travelled down to Salcombe via Slapton Sands which is one hell of a view. On our last night we even ordered take away from Spice Merchant in Dartmouth. We would 100% book again! Thank you for being such a lovely, cosy stay for us.
