The Details

These three stunning shepherd’s huts sit in a six-acre field in rural Shropshire and combine to sleep two adults and two children making them ideal for a romantic getaway or small family break. The three huts - the sleeping hut, the living hut and the washroom hut - have each been carefully designed and built by local craftspeople offering inviting and cosy spaces, whilst the wood-fired outdoor bath adds a touch of luxury to your stay.

Up first is the marvellous living hut. This is a delightful space in which to relax with your loved one as you soak up the simple pleasures of living small. There’s a wood-burning fireplace here to ensure you stay toasty and warm as you unwind with a good book whilst your nearest and dearest whips up a feast in the kitchenette. There’s a dining booth for four here and you can leave the door open letting the outside in as you enjoy a meal with a view. Or, on warmer days, dine alfresco as you breathe in that fresh country air.

After dinner, why not indulge with a soak in the Hikki wood fired bathtub, which is easy to set up and can accommodate two adults and two children? This really is the perfect place to take in your surroundings or enjoy a warming soak as the stars come out above. There’s also a huge kadai fire bow outside, so you can toast marshmallows and stay nice and warm as the sun begins to set.

The washroom hut is just a few steps away and has all the facilities you need including a warm shower, a sink and a WC, along with space to change if needed.

When night falls, the sleeping hut is a cosy and inviting space with stunning William Morris wallpaper that creates a wonderful atmosphere. There’s another wood-burning stove here, so you can stay cosy in the night and the king size bed ensures you enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. The living hut also converts into a double bed at night, to accommodate two children.

During your stay you can also make use of the new Wellness Area at Redford Farm Barns. Enjoy a Baltic wood-fired sauna with countryside views, cold plunge tub, outdoor shower and seating beneath old pear trees. Designed for relaxation and health, it’s available for a slight added cost.

If you decide to venture out you can explore hundreds of acres of farmland around Redford Farm Barns - no maps needed, just a sense of adventure and respect for nature and livestock. Spot wildlife, stroll to nearby country pubs or hike up Clee Hill for stunning views. Tenbury Wells, known for its orchards, lies just downhill. For a day out, the charming medieval town of Ludlow is only eight miles away, full of history, food and vintage treasures.
