Set on a Grade II listed former dairy farm in the south of the Cotswolds, The Cowsheds offers luxury accommodation for up to 17 guests in a relaxing rural setting. The old cowsheds, piggery and hay barn have been beautifully converted to create a four-bedroom property with another one-bedroom cottage that can all be booked together. This makes a wonderful destination for big family get-togethers, celebrations with friends or corporate retreats.

The Cowsheds consists of four beautifully designed ensuite bedrooms, all with private access; a fully equipped kitchen and dining room and a light and spacious sitting room opening out onto a rear garden and patio.

The bedrooms all have unique features telling the tale of the farm in its heyday. The old piggery, Bedroom Four, flaunting the original Queen Anne brickwork, a railway sleeper-clad bath and an antique copper basin. Whereas, Bedrooms One and Two are more light and spacious with their glass frontage and wonderful vaulted ceilings, not to forget the decadent roll-top bath in the first ensuite and the enormous walk-in shower offered in the other.

Bedroom Three is full of peaceful hues with a luxurious nickel super-king bed, flowing into a panelled bathroom with both a roll-top bath and a monsoon shower. All bedrooms are dressed with Egyptian cotton bed linen and goose down duvets, and the bathrooms indulge the guests with fluffy white towels and Cowshed cosmetics. Several of these bedrooms offer additional sofa beds, useful for larger groups wishing to stay at The Cowsheds.

The kitchen and dining room has a lovely vibe with lanterns hanging from the vaulted ceilings and low level pendant lighting pouring over the island. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large range cooker, an American fridge freezer with an ice dispenser, two dishwashers, a microwave, Nespresso machine and all the utensils you could possibly require.

The dining area holds an enormous oak table suitable for up to 20 guests which looks wonderful once laid up with the fine bone china and wide variety of glassware at your disposal.

The sitting room is light and spacious with its glass frontage and the vaulted ceilings of the original milking parlour. It has a large L-shaped sofa and a smaller sofa, both very comfortable and covered with scatter cushions. The hosts offer a selection of magazines, books and board games to add to your entertainment. Though perhaps the real value is the fabulous bar area, fully equipped with a wine fridge and a mixers fridge, perfect for entertaining.

Outside, you’ll find a pretty courtyard, lined with pear trees and a traditional stone wall, with plenty of room for parking and your own exclusive entrance. To the rear of the property is a lovely garden and patio overlooking the orchard and pony paddocks beyond, with a teak table and chairs suitable for 20 people along with a large gas BBQ.

Just across from The Cowsheds, there is a one-bedroom cottage with another kitchen, dining and living space. This has a rustic feel with some elegant modern touches. It’s the perfect escape for anyone wanting a little bit of me-time and there’s also a little outdoor space with furniture and a BBQ.

As well as being an ideal location for your next family gathering or holiday with friends, The Cowsheds is also a refreshing environment for executive meetings and small training events. Companies can benefit from the tranquil space, and all of its natural light, as well as the super fast internet speeds on offer at the property. With its large teak table and chairs, it would work well for an informal outdoor meeting for up to 20 people. Likewise, the enormous oak table in the dining room is also great for large groups and the 75” smart television is perfect for presentations.

Located in the south of the Cotswolds, between the Roman cities of Bath and Cirencester, there’s plenty to explore in the local area. Wander around pretty Cotswolds towns or visit the famous Westonbirt Arboretum. Lacock, a popular filming location for films including Harry Potter, is just 20 minutes away and is also home to a beautiful Abbey. If you’re looking to relax, there are several spas in the area, perhaps followed up by a gin tasting and cocktail making session from The Gin Spot back at The Cowsheds.
