Beautifully renovated farmhouse with access to a spa located in a quiet village near Glastonbury, perfect for large groups.
Set in its own 100 acres of land, this beautiful farmhouse has been completely renovated to create a luxurious seven bedroom holiday home. Expert craftsmen were called in to restore original features such as the old bread oven, inglenook fireplaces, flagstones and elm floorboards. While carefully preserving the farmhouse’s charm and character, plenty of modern luxuries have been added, such as a hot tub and a designer kitchen. You’ll also have access to the Sedum Spa, a shared facility located near the Woodlands Farmhouse, where you can lounge by the pool as you watch the sun setting behind Glastonbury Tor.
On the ground floor of the farmhouse, you’ll find large comfy rooms for entertaining and socialising. Enjoy big family dinners in the dining room which opens out onto the bespoke kitchen. Here, you’ll find everything you need for catering for large groups, including a three oven electric range. After dinner, retreat to one of the two living rooms to get stuck into a good film or a board game. The kids might want to escape to the games room for a table tennis or table football tournament. If you fancy a bit of peace and quiet, you can always choose a book from the shelves in the library and snuggle up in an armchair.
There are seven bedrooms in total, three twin rooms and four king size doubles, one of which is on the ground floor. They’ve been individually furnished, each with its own character and colour palette. You’ll find grand four poster beds in some and gorgeous old fireplaces in others. All of the bedrooms are equipped with high quality sprung or memory foam mattresses and ensuite bathrooms, two with Jack and Jill access. The property sleeps 14, with fold-out beds for 2 more available if required.
There’s plenty to do in the area without going far at all. Go for a walk to get your bearings, perhaps hiking to the top of Glastonbury Tor which you can see from the farm. You’ll be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. If you’re in need of a bit of relaxation, head to the spa for some treatments or a soak in the Nordic hot tub. There are also lots of activities that can be arranged on site or in the local area which are perfect for big groups. From cocktail making classes to archery and clay pigeon shooting, there will be something for everyone.
