Surrounded by 3,500 acres of fields, water meadows, rivers, lakes and rolling Hampshire hills, this charming apartment is part of the historic Grange Estate. It’s located within the Victorian Clock Tower of the estate’s stable block and offers a cosy hideaway for friends or family to enjoy a quiet country retreat. Spend your days exploring the estate, playing tennis, tasting The Grange’s award winning wine or venturing further into Hamshire’s countryside. In the evenings, snuggle up in front of the log burning stove and unwind in complete comfort.
The Clock Tower is located in the heart of the estate and you’ll find the door to the apartment tucked away in the archway beneath the tower. Step into the two-storey apartment and you’ll find a warm and welcoming living space with comfy sofas gathered around the charming fireplace, the perfect spot to put your feet up after a long walk around the estate. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen where you’ll find a welcome hamper of local culinary treats to get you started.
There are two double bedrooms, both made up with luxurious linens and with soft lighting and neutral colour schemes to help you get a restful night’s sleep. You’ll be drawn towards the windows where you’ll get lovely views over the garden and across the surrounding parklands towards The Grange Mansion. One of these rooms can be set up as a twin or with a super-king size bed, depending on your preferences. Choose between a relaxing soak in the bath or a refreshing rinse in the rainfall shower after a day’s exploring.
You’ll find plenty of exploring to do without even leaving the estate. There’s a tennis court that can be booked and swimming at one of the Estate pools subject to them being used by other guests.
Make sure you arrange a tour and a wine tasting at The Grange’s vineyard and if you’re visiting in the summer, you might even catch some opera at The Grange Festival. If you fancy venturing further into Hampshire’s beautiful countryside, there are stunning walking trails along chalk stream rivers and plenty of pubs to stop off at along the way. The local market town of Alresford is just a few miles down the road and the medieval city of Winchester is just 15 minutes away by car.
