Situated on a working equestrian centre in rural Cheshire, just a short drive from historic Chester, The Burrow offers visitors cosy relaxation with plenty of luxurious touches. The Burrow is one of several Grade II listed cottages at the centre and groups of family and friends can book more than one property - as needed. Each property is finished to extremely high standards, with lovely extra touches (eco tolietries, a welcome hamper and a hot tub).
Owners have renovated the space with sustainability and the environment at the forefront. The property has solar panels and ground source heat pumps, making it 100 per cent carbon neutral. And no less attention has been given to the fittings and furnishings of the interior. Visitors enter into the open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The modern kitchen is well-equipped for making delicious dinners which can be enjoyed at the large dining table or outside on the pretty patio in the sunshine. A large inviting sofa sits on flag stone floors where visitors can relax and chat after dinner. The space is also filled with natural light making it bright and airy during the daytime.
At bedtime, there are two bedrooms to chose from, both of which are equally quiet and attractive with crisp linens, super comfy mattresses and warm duvets. The master bedroom is situated on the ground floor and has a lovely large bathroom which is wheelchair accessible. This has the added extra of a mezzanine hideaway, perfect for curling up in with a good book. An oak wood staircase leads onto the second floor where guests find the en-suite second bedroom, a pretty and relaxing twin or kingsize with a neutral decor and soft pastels.
The Burrow is ideally located for those who love the outdoors, walkers, cyclists, dogs and horses will want to explore the nearby Delamere Forest. The historic Roman city of Chester is just 20 minutes away, full of great shops, bars and restaurants. There are also plenty of delightful country walks, from the door of The Burrow, where guests can discover many of the lovely local pubs, favourites include the Hare and Hounds at Crowton or The Tigers Head at Norley.
