The 616 Venue is the perfect destination for special celebrations, stag or hen parties, reunions, birthdays and family get-togethers. Located on the edge of the pretty village of Wellow and surrounded by the ancient woodland of Sherwood Forest, the 616 is an outstanding special event space and retreat. The venue opened in 2021 and is maintained to an exceptional level. Built with sustainability in mind, all natural and reclaimed materials have been used in its construction, and eco-friendly touches are seen throughout the property.
This impressive property features nine king size and five twin rooms which all have stylish ensuite facilities. The elegantly furnished bedrooms boast exposed brickwork and wooden beams while large 55inch TVs, high-quality linens, big fluffy towels, and underfloor heating give the rooms a luxury feel. Each room has its own private entrance and gives you complete flexibility in accommodating up to 26 guests in comfort.
The light and airy communal areas provide ample space for large groups to gather, but also allow plenty of personal space too. Sink into the comfy sofas in the snug or enjoy a morning coffee in the sunny outdoor courtyard. Prepare meals together and swap stories around the huge dining table in the expansive, vaulted dining room. Breakfast on the first morning, whether a full English, cereal, or continental style, is included and served to you in the orangery and you have the option of enjoying a private dining experience in your own restaurant.
The 616 Venue is all about fun and there’s no need to leave the property to find it. Dance the night away in your very own private night club which features laser lighting, a smoke machine and a digital jukebox. Plus a built-in bar with keg taps will keep the party atmosphere flowing – just bring your own barrel. Maybe a bit of nostalgic gaming appeals to you? If so, get retro in the 80s style games arcade with shoot ’em ups, pinball, air hockey, and Time Crisis. If that sounds too hectic for you, relax and end your day in one of two luxurious hot tubs with a glass of bubbly.
If you feel like getting away for a bit, the village of Wellow, with its link to the legend of Robin Hood, and its Maypole Celebrations is an easy 10-minute drive away. This charming village has a local pub, restaurant, and Heritage trails to explore. Mansfield and the pretty market town of Newark are also within reach.
