Perched high amongst the beautiful laurel trees on a country estate in Gloucestershire, Sky Treehouse is the perfect place to unplug and immerse yourself in nature. Set within the grounds of Elmore Court Estate which has a real focus on rewilding and regenerative farming, the cabin was built with the environment in mind, using sustainable materials and methods. After a day exploring the estate, swimming in the pond or even doing a bit of foraging, relax on your private deck with a fire crackling away in the brazier or do a bit of stargazing from the comfort of the outdoor bath.
You head up into the trees via a long boardwalk that winds its way through the woodland and to the door of Sky Treehouse. Inside, you'll find a welcoming open-plan interior, with big windows allowing plenty of natural light to filter in past the surrounding trees. In the bedroom area, you'll find a handmade bespoke super-king size bed, complete with an organic mattress. There's also a hidden trundle bed and a day bed, so the treehouse can comfortably accommodate up to four guests. There's a wood burning stove to keep you cosy whatever the weather outside and a seating area where you can get stuck into board games or curl up with a good book.
There's a small kitchen inside with all the essentials to help you cook simple meals, as well as a Nespresso machine. You'll find a second kitchen area outdoors with a gas hob, fridge and a sink in a covered space so you can make the most of your surroundings all day. Out on the deck, there's a dining table and some extra chairs to relax in by a brazier for toasting marshmallows and to keep you warm in the evenings. This is also where you'll find the William and Holland tin and copper bath, so you can enjoy a relaxing soak amongst the trees.
There's plenty of exploring to do on the estate itself, from walks through beautiful rewilded areas, bursting with flora and fauna, to booking a session at the seasonal swimming club at Madam's Pond. You can also go foraging for seasonal treats with a guide or head off on a wildlife safari. If you fancy venturing a little further into the surrounding area, Gloucester is just a short drive away with its bustling city centre and historic cathedral to explore. The 12th century Berkeley Castle is also nearby and offers a fascinating glimpse into medieval history. Westonbirt Arboretum is home to one of the most impressive collections of trees and plants in the world or you can head to the Cotswold Country Park and Beach to have a go at some watersports.
