When you step inside, you’ll love the homely feel of Porth Hir. Drop your bags off in your room and head to the lounge, with its big luxury sofas and comfy armchairs. Light the fire and stay toasty as you catch up with loved ones over a warm cuppa. There’s also a Smart TV here, should you wish to enjoy a movie night during your stay.
The lounge flows effortlessly into a characterful country-style kitchen, where rustic charm meets modern convenience. Here, you’ll find everything you need to whip up delicious feasts with ease - a chic range cooker boasting four ovens and a seven-burner hob, a sleek American-style fridge freezer with an ice and water dispenser and all the essential gadgets for seamless self-catering. Gather around the charming kitchen table for a leisurely breakfast, a glass of wine while cooking or even a spot of remote working, with superfast WiFi keeping you connected. Next to the kitchen, the elegant dining room is perfect for long social dinners, with a stylish table for six and breathtaking sea views.
When the sun is shining, head outside to Porth Hir’s idyllic courtyard garden, which is bursting with vibrant blooms. This is the perfect spot for alfresco dining at the picnic bench.
Back inside, you can head upstairs to the second, sunlit living area with four plush armchairs surrounding a gas stove, offering yet more stunning views of the sea. French doors open onto the first-floor balcony, where you can enjoy your morning coffee or an evening drink while watching the sunset over the water.
When eyes grow heavy, you have three delightful bedrooms to choose from. The king size master boasts an ensuite shower room, while the twin room features a charming window seat with breathtaking sea views. A flexible second king size room can be converted to twins on request, offering plenty of flexibility. The spacious family bathroom, with its inviting bathtub, is ideal for a post-adventure soak.
If you step out your front door, you're a short stroll from a lovely pebble beach and if you wish to venture further afield, Anglesey is bursting with adventure, from stunning coastal walks to charming towns. Just a five-minute stroll from Porth Hir, Beaumaris offers independent boutiques, craft shops and a welcoming seaside atmosphere. Explore the coast, hike through woodlands or take the dogs on a mountain trail.
For a magical evening, visit Penmon Point Lighthouse, a perfect spot for stargazing and even glimpsing the Northern Lights in winter. With Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and the Wales Coast Path nearby, scenic walks abound, including the Belgian Promenade with breathtaking views of Menai Bridge. After a day exploring, enjoy fresh seafood or traditional pub fare in Beaumaris.
