These two marvellous rural lodges offer you the ideal spot for your next country hideaway. Both of these self-catering lodges sleep four in comfort and offer fab access to some gorgeous scenery as well as some modern luxuries to ensure you enjoy your stay in style! Wake up and enjoy the uninterrupted views of the Shropshire countryside with your morning coffee or sit outside and soak in the sunset with a glass of wine come the evening.
Each lodge has a large decking area that has space to sit and dine outside. This is an ideal spot for meals, or just socialising in the sunshine. The decking area also has a sunken hot tub, which can be used all year round and offers you a luxurious way to unwind after a day out exploring the Shropshire Hills.
Once you step inside you're presented with an open plan living area that has giant floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the view nicely and flood the space with natural light. The sitting area has comfy sofas where you can enjoy the view, as well as a TV for movie nights in and a log burner to keep you cosy all year round.
The beautiful kitchen has all the integrated appliances you'll need including a large fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. You can cook up a storm whilst gazing out over the fields and the countryside beyond. There's also an adjacent dining area that is is the perfect space to sit and eat dinner when it's too cold to dine al fresco.
When it comes to bedtime, the lodges have two comfy double bedrooms. Each room has a king-sized bed that can be altered into singles if required. Each bedroom also has its own en suite bathroom for added privacy, one of which has a shower, and the other with a bath and shower. The larger bedroom can also accommodate a travel cot if needed.
Situated on farm in the charming Shropshire countryside, there are acres of rolling farmland to explore. You can make use of the new BBQ hut to cook up a sizzling feast. And if you fancy a dip on a hot summer afternoon, you can wild swim in the private lake just a five minute stroll from the lodges.
With miles of glorious surrounding countryside, guests are spoiled with it comes to hiking opportunities. Shropshire is one of the least crowded and most peaceful places in the country, so be sure to venture out and explore all it has to offer. Many of the walking routes begin right from your door, however, you may also wish to venture slightly further afield in your car to try out some of the routes and trails across the border in Wales.
The nearest town of Montgomery is a beautiful Georgian market town that has a 13th Century castle. Here there is a small market square with independent shops, cafes and a brewery. The castle is free to look around and has beautiful views across the town. Another nearby town is Ludlow, which has a lively community and a number of cracking events and festivals throughout the year.
