Nestled on the edge of a serene wooded hillside in the rolling meadows of Haspengouw, this pair of cabins offer couples a cosy haven designed for relaxation and inspiration.
The first cabin is called Loof. As you step inside, you’ll feel the warmth of this thoughtfully crafted space wash over you. The combination of natural materials and soothing colours creates an inviting atmosphere that instantly feels like home. With expansive windows seamlessly connecting the interior to the enchanting forest outside, the beauty of nature is ever-present.
This intimate cabin is perfect for two, with a sliding wall revealing a comfortable double bed that offers a stunning view of the forest, ensuring you wake up to nature’s beauty each morning. On one side, you’re embraced by the tranquillity of the woods, while on the other, sweeping views of lush fields invite you and your loved one to unwind. The living area features a charming wood-burning fireplace that keeps you toasty and warm no matter the weather outside.
Culinary enthusiasts will appreciate the fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, cooker, fridge and oven, making it easy to whip up delicious meals. And when it comes to pampering, the luxurious bathroom boasts a spacious walk-in shower.
Elevated on stilts, Loof blends seamlessly into its woodland surroundings. Step out onto the terrace and bask in the serene ambiance, surrounded by the crowns of ancient beech trees.
Next up is Bast - another enchanting retreat for two. Thoughtfully designed Bast is a haven where time slows down amidst a lush landscape. Bast allows you to enjoy the luxury of nature without sacrificing comfort and style. With custom-made furnishings - from the cosy sofa by the stove to the whimsical kitchen island - every detail has been carefully curated. In the central patio, leave your everyday worries behind as you unwind in a bathtub beneath the skylight, inviting the sky’s beauty into your relaxation.
Awake each day to breathtaking sunrises over the fields, a view that’s more beautiful than anything crafted by man. A large sliding wall discreetly conceals the minimalist bathroom, featuring a walk-in shower. The warm-toned kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including a dishwasher, induction cooktop, refrigerator and oven, ensuring your stay is as comfortable as it is serene.
Step outside your door and immerse yourself in a world of adventure, where scenic hiking and biking routes wind through the rolling landscapes of Haspengouw. This stunning region, often referred to as the "Tuscany of Flanders," is renowned for its picturesque orchards and enchanting castles - truly a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
Just a short stroll from your accommodation, at the crossroads of Tommenstraat and Repenstraat, you’ll find the starting point for the Kluizenaarswandeling. Choose between a leisurely four kilometre or an invigorating six kilometre route, and let the beauty of nature unfold before you as you pass the charming Vault of Vrijhern.
But that’s just the beginning! Explore nearby Green Spots, which serve as perfect launch points for your outdoor escapades. Discover the delights of Zammelen, Mettekoven and Grootloon, where you can admire the renowned “Reading Between the Lines” church. Other captivating destinations include Rullingen, Munsterbos and the historic Alden Biesen.
