This delightful cabin for two is the latest addition to Trelan Farm's boutiques escapes. Tucked away down a private path, it has been designed with romantic couples in mind, and would be a wonderful choice for those seeking a quiet retreat and a base from which to explore all that North Wales has to offer.
The curved cabin is modern and charming with big windows to let the glorious Welsh light flood in. Compact and well designed, the interior contains a kitchenette with with an oven, hob and microwave. There's a fridge freezer to keep your food and wine perfectly chilled and when you rummage in the cupboard, you'll find the hosts have provided tea and coffee and all the utensils you'll need to whip up a romantic feast for two, which you can enjoy at the neighbouring round dining table.
There are two comfortable soft chairs where you can sit and watch a movie on the wall-mounted TV, or maybe you'd prefer to snuggle up in the king size bed with popcorn. Bedecked in soft linens and pretty textiles, it's a very comfy and cosy place to chill, nap and enjoy a good night's sleep with stunning views of Moel Famau to greet you in the morning as you enjoy a cup of coffee in bed.
The cabin has its own ensuite with a good sized shower, flushing toilet and that all important heated towel rail to keep your robes warm and fluffy. The open plan layout creates a sense of space and the décor is bright, colourful and very welcoming.
On a sunny morning you can take your breakfast outside to the covered deck where you can enjoy your meal in the peace and tranquility. You can choose to sit under the cover of the deck or move to the further outdoor seating on the ground level, with the sky above, and a BBQ should you fancy cooking outdoors on a sunny evening.
The piece de resistance is a fabulous Japanese soaking tub designed for two, which is tucked in one corner of the covered deck. It comes complete with massage jets, mood lighting and lavender bubble bath. Pour a drink, sink in and enjoy a romantic alfresco bath surrounded by wildflowers and stunning views. It's simply glorious.
Trelan is a beef and sheep farm and you'll find the surrounding fields dotted with animals. The hosts would be happy to show you around and introduce you to their resident Shetland pony, Alma. You'll also find bird feeders and a bee house encouraging the wildlife to flourish all around. If you fancy a pint and some good local fare, the nearest pub is The White Horse Inn, a pleasant one-mile walk from the farm, where you'll be made to feel very welcome.
Further afield there's plenty to see and do, with the North Wales coastline just 30 minutes away and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park under an hour from the cabin. Moel Famau is a popular peak for hikers, so head out with a picnic and enjoy truly breathtaking views across this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can pop in for a drink at The White Horse on your way back down!
If you fancy a day of shopping and lunch, the pretty and ancient city of Chester is only half an hour away, and you can stock up on local goodies to enjoy back at the cabin. There is so much more within easy reach, including beautiful beaches, Loggerheads Country Park and the local market town of Ruthin & Mold. And after a day of walking, exploring and shopping, you can head back to your boutique idyll on the farm, fire up the BBQ, take a soak, pour a drink and watch the stars.

Leave a reviewFantastic one night stay, so peaceful and tranquil. The lookout was spotlessly clean and the outdoor bath was a delight. Sitting out while overlooking lambs playing in the next field was great. Walking trails available from the door. Definitely will be booking again and would recommend Thanks
