Hill House is not just holiday accommodation but is an experience in itself. The stunning Tudor manor house and extensive grounds provide the convenience of self-catering combined with the facilities and style of a boutique hotel. Combining technology, design and urban art in a unique manner that contrasts with the 16th century building and period features, the home is an impressive location where large groups of up to 25 guests can gather to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a memorable getaway.
Inside, there is space to suit every need and mood. A choice of two lounges provides stylish surroundings, complete with open fireplaces and timber beams, where you can sprawl out on the ample sofas to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or watch a blockbuster on the 10-foot drop-down cinema screen.
The elegant dining room with its sparkling chandelier and open fireplace will lend an air of glamour and sophistication to every dinner party. A relaxed kitchen diner with a sociable island unit contains everything you could possibly need to create culinary masterpieces including an aga for that country kitchen feel.
For the young and the young at heart there is a fabulous retro games room complete with arcade games, pool table and air hockey. Fancy trying your hand at mixology? There’s a light-up library bar with cocktail equipment just for you.
A choice of 10 bedrooms from super-king size to singles and twins will ensure every sleeping arrangement is catered for. Four come with gorgeous ensuite bathrooms boasting complimentary Mucky Duck toiletries, and each one is individually designed with sumptuous bedding, plenty of storage and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Further luxury house bathrooms with freestanding bathtubs and showers ensure there will be no queues in the morning!
Outside, within three acres of land, you’ll find plenty of activities to keep everybody entertained. A full-size tennis court is waiting for the budding Beckers in the group and an outdoor table tennis table for the less athletic. Football, rounders and croquet are also covered with all the bats and balls you need to get some friendly competitions going. Afterward, you’ll find an outdoor pizza oven, fridge, food prep area, fire pit and tables and chairs for 30 guests so you can recharge your batteries over an alfresco meal. Or why not relax in the indulgent hot tub out on the deck while enjoying a glass of bubbly?
If you can bear to drag yourself away from the fun, the Norfolk Broads are within easy reach and medieval Norwich is a short drive away. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the beaches on the Norfolk and Suffolk coasts and there are several National Trust properties to visit if history is your thing.
