These two beautifully converted farm buildings are located a short distance from each other in the charming North Yorkshire Village of Sherburn. The two properties (The Yard and Corner Farm) are booked together, ensuring that High Street Farm sleeps a total of 28 guests, making it perfect for celebrations and get-togethers with friends and family.
First up is The Yard. This building was once a disused fold yard, granary and open wagon sheds, and has now been converted into modern holiday accommodation for up to 16 guests that boasts underfloor heating and spacious ensuite rooms. You’ll appreciate the contemporary amenities and the rustic charm throughout thanks to the wooden beams and vaulted farm ceilings. The Yard is also perfectly kitted out for entertaining your whole party. The open plan living and dining area has two large dining tables which can seat up to 28 guests, meaning you can all dine together in style. The living area also boasts an enormous U-shaped sofa for social evenings in.
As well as a cosy lounge area with a wood-burning fireplace, The Yard also has a luxurious indoor swim spa for 12 people that opens up onto a beautifully landscaped walled garden and patio through bifold doors. This is the perfect place to indulge in a luxurious soak after a day out exploring the local area. If you fancy challenging your loved ones to a game, then head to the games room, which houses a pool table, TV and a sound system.
Stepping outside, the garden and patio area is a lovely spot to socialise in the sunshine. It features outdoor dining furniture and a gas BBQ, meaning you can grill up some delicious local produce as you spend time together in the fresh country air. And if you don’t fancy cooking alfresco, the well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up delicious feasts throughout your stay.
The six ensuite bedrooms offer a variety of sleeping arrangements, including super-king size beds, doubles and twins. And the modern bathrooms feature a combination of luxury showers and free-standing bathtubs for indulgent soaks.
The Yard is booked alongside the detached Grade II listed former farmhouse, called Corner Farm. This truly is a stunning space that blends style with respect for its heritage. Modern furnishings complement original features like stairs, doors and sash windows. Corner Farm has seven bedrooms, three bathrooms and an ensuite shower room, comfortably accommodating up to 16 guests.
In the beamed living and dining rooms, a double-sided wood burner with ample fuel sets a cosy atmosphere, while the spacious kitchen features a sociable centre island. Just like The Yard, Corner Farm also has a large indoor party spa and there’s also another well-equipped games room with a pool table and darts board!
You also have access to yet another child-friendly enclosed garden, this time including an outdoor play area with a slide and swing set.
When it comes to filling your day you'll find plenty of exploring to do with both the coast and countryside of North Yorkshire on your doorstep. Head out to Scarborough or Whitby for a day by the seaside with a stunning coastline to explore and beautiful sandy beaches. Lace up your walking boots and explore the picturesque North York Moors on foot or go for scenic bike rides in the rolling countryside. The charming town of Malton is also nearby, known as the food capital of Yorkshire, where you can indulge in the best local produce and visit the local market.
