Right in the heart of the stunning Cumbria landscape, Hidden River House is a truly once-in-a-lifetime getaway for larger groups looking to spend time together in serious luxury. With each ten guest wing available to rent independently, and the whole house bookable for groups of twenty guests, Hidden River House is capable of accommodating parties which would otherwise struggle to stay together in the area, and is ideal for weddings. Although it dates back to the 17th Century, the house has been refurbished internally to a high standard, and comes replete with top of the range fixtures, fittings and appliances, including your very own hot tub.
The east wing contains four double bedrooms, and the west wing is made up with three double bedrooms, and a single twin bedroom. All bedrooms are en-suite, offering either a roll-top bathtub or a drop shower. In addition, two guests can sleep comfortably in the sofa-bed contained in each living space. Each wing has its own world-class kitchen, with everything that you’ll need to whip up a feast which the entire group can enjoy together. After dinner, stroll around the grounds taking in the evening light, or recline in the living room and take advantage of the entertainment system with its speedy wi-fi, wireless speakers, and blu-ray enable television.
Being a large space, carefully renovated with luxury and versatility in mind, Hidden River House is perfect for multi-family groups, different age ranges, and holidaymakers with disparate plans. This is a space where adults can work away quietly on the WiFi, children can roam and play in the spacious surrounding area, and the rest of your group can take in the local sights before indulging in pre-dinner drinks in the hot tub. Whatever your dream escape looks like, you’re guaranteed to find it in the Hidden River House.
The house is set in the grounds of a sprawling estate. There is a café just ten minutes’ walk from the property, with brilliant breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and a fantastic Sunday roast. Guests will be delighted by the house’s proximity to the world-famous Lake District, where ramblers, bird-watchers, and all manner of outdoor enthusiasts flock throughout the year to take in the staggering views and unique topography. As well as a range of outdoor activities, like fishing, horse-riding and ziplines, all in the immediate area, your hosts can arrange for a number of experiences right in the comfort of Hidden River House. Instructor-led yoga is an ever popular relaxing diversion, and the mobile massage is a great way to unwind at the end of the day. Alternatively, be at the bustling town of Carlisle in fifteen minutes, with its comprehensive retail and dining options.
