This charming cabin is located in a peaceful spot at the top of Harcombe Valley just a few miles from the spectacular coastlines of Dorset and Devon. You’ll find the cabin at the end of a single track lane, surrounded by a stream and enchanting woodland. This tranquil hideaway couldn’t feel further from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and you’ll be able to spend lazy days watching the wildlife from the deck or putting your feet up in front of the woodburner. If you fancy exploring the area, beautiful beaches and charming market towns are just a few miles away.
This bespoke cabin has been designed for up to four guests, making it perfect for countryside escapes for couples or families. Step inside to find the open-plan living space which feels relaxed and cosy with comfy sofas gathered around a log burner. There’s a well-equipped kitchen where you can rustle up the family favourites or prepare food for the gas BBQ. On chilly days you can eat at the dining table inside but when the sun is shining, head out to the large deck and enjoy the scenery while you eat.
The downstairs bedroom can be set up as a twin or with a king size bed, offering plenty of flexibility for groups with a newly fitted modern bathroom also on the ground floor. There’s another bedroom on the mezzanine floor with a king size bed and lovely views over the surrounding countryside. You can sit in bed in the mornings enjoying a cup of tea while you listen to the birds in the trees around the cabin.
You’ll find plenty to do in the area, whether you fancy hunting for fossils on Dorset’s beaches, walking along the coastal path or sampling the freshest seafood in the local restaurants and pubs.
Stretch your legs and get your bearings with a stroll along the spectacular South West Coastal Path or explore the footpaths through the Axe and Marshwood Valleys past Iron Age forts. The beaches of Lyme Regis and Charmouth, both a short drive away, are renowned for fascinating fossils that date back hundreds of millions of years.
If you want a night off from the cooking, you’ll find yourselves spoilt for choice with a fantastic range of restaurants nearby. For seafood with a view of the ocean, head to The Oyster and Fish House in Lyme Regis or Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage is also close by. If you prefer to cook for yourselves, stock up on supplies with a trip to the Wet Fish Shop where you’ll find expert fishmongers preparing the latest catch.

Leave a reviewWe had a wonderful stay at Greensleeves! We went just my husband and I, and our 5 year old daughter and she loved it too. Lots of space outside to play, we discovered a rope swing in the back and close to all the beaches in Lyme Regis! The cabin is very comfortable with everything you need. We will definitely be booking again! Steve was an excellent host and very quick to reply!
