This utterly charming cottage sits in the beautiful Perthshire countryside and is surrounded by stunning farmland. Originally built in 1872 for the Estate’s stockman, this traditional cottage has been carefully restored and remodelled, creating a wonderful retreat that perfectly blends old world charm and modern living.
When you arrive, you’ll be blown away by the inspiring surroundings and once you step inside, you’ll be able to settle in for a relaxing stay with friends and family. Unwind in the cosy lounge, with its big sofa and comfy armchairs. This space has large windows that fill the room with natural light and offer amazing views of the farmland beyond. Grab your favourite book and put your feet up whilst listening to the crackle of the wood-burning fire. Or, settle in with a bottle of wine and chat the night away with loved ones.
When tummies rumble, the modern kitchen is perfectly equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare a delicious meal, including a Nespresso coffee maker for those who need their caffeine fix! When dinner’s ready, serve it up on the round dining table in the kitchen that offers yet more lovely views.
The cottage has two spacious bedrooms, both of which feature luxurious king size beds along with big fluffy towels. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom for added privacy, whilst the other has access to a large shower room (almost an en-suite as well!). Luxurious Arran Sense of Scotland toiletries are provided in both bathrooms so you can save on packing! Children are very welcome at the cottage and if you're bringing little ones, a travel cot and highchair are available.
If the weather’s warm, head outside to your private patio where you can sit and relax in the summer sunshine. This is also a lovely spot to enjoy an evening tipple as the sun begins to set and the stars come out above.
If you venture out and explore the area, there's lots to see and do. The cottage is situated on Dunsinnan Estate, a place rich in Scottish heritage and natural beauty. The estate spans the Strathmore Valley and Sidlaw Hills, including historic Dunsinane Hill as featured in Shakespeare’s masterpiece, Macbeth. It’s the perfect location to explore so much of Scotland, including the big cities such as Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as being less than an hour away from the Highlands. Closer to home, the village of Dunkeld and St Andrews are beautiful places to visit for day trips. The estate continues its legacy of farming, forestry and residential lets, preserving its history while embracing the future.
