Hidden in an expansive walled garden at the end of a private, tree-lined driveway, Drylaw House is a peaceful hideout in an exclusive residential area. Its A listed design dates back to the early 18th century and boasts refined Georgian features with chic, modern comforts. There are grand high ceilings with ornate cornice work above original floorboards, wooden panels and classic, shuttered windows.
Across its four impressive floors you’ll find a myriad of sprawling social spaces, where you can enjoy laid back days or group celebrations. Along with two kitchens, two dining rooms and two comfortable TV rooms, there’s the games room, drawing room and beautiful open hallways.
Each room has been thoughtfully styled with an understated glamour and showcases handpicked antique pieces and sumptuous home furnishings. Relax in the distinguished drawing room or feast around the elaborate dining tables, line up a game of pool or just curl up in front of the fire. The ten extensive bedrooms offer space for up to 24 people across two double rooms, two king size rooms, one twin room, two kings size rooms which can be converted to twins, one king size / twin room with one single bed, one king size room with two single beds, and one king size room with one single bed. Furnished with an array of four poster beds, patterned rugs and plush, designer fabrics, they are tasteful rooms where you can relax in complete and utter comfort. Seven luxury bathrooms are also shared across the rooms, including two deluxe en-suites and five large, family bathrooms.
