Cowslip Cottage is a charming retreat nestled in the heart of the Cornish countryside down a country lane. Inside, this delightful home oozes rustic charm thanks to the farmhouse style kitchen, whitewashed walls and classic fireplaces. This 19th-century stone building holds a rich history, having once served as the cosy homes of a blacksmith and a carpenter. Yet today, it offers up contemporary comforts, inviting you and your loved ones to relax in its warm and welcoming atmosphere and watch grazing livestock through the picture windows.

The kitchen is the heart of the home, and the large kitchen table serves as a focal point, perfect for gathering with family or friends over delicious meals prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. On chilly evenings, the wood-burner makes this a cosy space, ensuring you all stay toasty and warm as you dine long into the night.

After dinner, unwind in the lounge, with its big comfy leather sofa offering a great place to settle in with an evening tipple or delve into a captivating book. The lounge also has a radio and a bluetooth speaker you can enjoy some tunes, and a TV and DVD player for movie nights.

Stepping outside, Cowslip Cottage has a peaceful garden where you can unwind with a morning coffee in the fresh country air or light the BBQ and grill up some delicious Cornish produce.

When night falls, the cottage sleeps up to five guests in three thoughtfully designed bedrooms. There is a double bedroom, a twin and a single, offering plenty of flexibility for different groups. There’s also a family bathroom with a shower over a bath, and a convenient washroom porch and laundry facilities.

The cottage has a wood-burner to keep you warm as well as heating that is powered by solar panels, topped up with green electricity and you’re provided with a complimentary basket of logs on arrival.

Along with therapeutic massage, a number of other creative and wellbeing workshops are run through the year including Family Sketch Clubs during the summer months, Introduction to Massage Courses, alfresco yoga sessions and floral workshops - check in with Tia to find out what’s happening during your stay.

Just up the lane from Cowslip Cottage you’ll find the owner’s son Otto’s little farm shop selling home-made preserves and fresh eggs from the chickens that roam free-range around the farm; and from your cottage window you are likely to spot the family's ponies grazing in the meadows.

If you want to venture out and explore the local area, the owners have provided you with a selection of useful books and maps, so be sure to take a look!

You’re situated close to Lostwithiel, which is a charming town with plenty of amenities. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Bodmin Moor offers hiking and breathtaking views. Don’t miss Duloe Stone Circle, a prehistoric monument steeped in mystery. Fowey is also a lovely local seaside town that the owners recommend you visit.
