The grandly-named Casterton Grange is accessed via a private tree-lined driveway where guests experience their first glimpses of what the property has to offer.
The beautiful gardens promise days sitting on either of the two terraces, grilling lunch on the BBQ, while watching loved ones explore the landscaped grounds. Children can safely run free over immaculate lawns, play tennis on the grass court or make a splash in one of the two hots tubs.
This romantic and inspirational space is equally matched by the breathtaking interior of this stunning property. Head inside and soak up the elegance and style of this Ewan Christian-designed house. The opulent entrance hall sets the tone - a grand wooden staircase is the centrepiece, sweeping upstairs past the oil painting covered walls to the many luxurious bedrooms and iconic four-storey tower.
Wander through to one of the two fabulously well-equipped kitchens. Get refreshed with a cup of tea or something stronger before exploring this extensive property and grounds. The two kitchens allow for outside catering to come in without interrupting the party, and, it is quite the party house, with a Sonos sound system, indoor and outdoor speakers, interconnecting reception rooms and a games room, as well as a wine cellar and cocktail bar.
When mealtimes arrive, guests are thoroughly spoiled for choice. Maybe head to the conservatory for coffee and croissants overlooking the gardens? Perhaps the dining table next to the kitchen, with its ornamental wooden chairs and proximity to a cosy reception area, would be best for dinner? Don't forget the spectacular terrace dining table, where diners can enjoy glamorous celebratory suppers, sipping champagne while taking in the scenic grounds. And after dinner, retire to make the most of the well-equipped cocktail bar and sip digestifs in the billiard room, or settle in for meaningful-chats by roaring fires in one of the three stunning reception rooms.
At bedtime, there are nine ensuite bedrooms, two with luxurious freestanding baths for an added slice of opulence. All of the bedrooms have plenty of space, fabulous views and gloriously luxurious linens, towels, bath robes and toiletries.
For day trips and meals-out, pack a picnic and make the 15-minute stroll to the pebble beach by the River Lune, explore pretty Kirby Lonsdale which is bursting with independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Or make the drive into the Lake District - Windermere is just a 25 minutes away.
