Set within the magnificent Caerhays Estate, close to Redruth, Burncoose House is an extraordinary seven bedroom home, available to rent on a self-catered basis. Replete with woodland paths, croquet lawns, and acres of private land, Burncoose House is the dream escape for anybody looking to stay in luxury in one of the most stunning landscapes in Cornwall.
With palatial rooms, high ceilings, and original features, the house is seriously decadent. The main living space is a drawing room which artfully combines original grandeur with high-end contemporary amenities. Recline in front of the 55” Smart TV, rack up the billiard balls, or plug into the world class integrated sound system. Multi-generational groups will be pleased to find that there are several alternative leisure spaces, including a library stocked with books and DVDs, as well as a fireplace and Smart TV, and a study, ideal for getting work done while the rest of the group gets stuck into the day’s activities.
Everything about the kitchen has been conceived, designed, and fitted with convenience and luxury in mind. Even the most serious of amateur cooks are wowed by the Falcon range with its double oven and ceramic hob. For casual breakfasts and less formal meals, up to six guests can comfortably fit around the breakfast bar. Alternatively, eat in style inside the grand sixteen person dining room, with its elegant fixtures and open fireplace.
Each of Burncoose House’s seven en-suite bedrooms is a testament to taste, luxury, and versatility. The master bedroom is particularly extravagant, with its Smart TV, expansive garden views and array of high-end furniture. A family-style set up features a super king-size bed in one room with twin singles in the next room along, accessed via lockable connecting doors. Off the middle landing you’ll find two exquisitely appointed super king-sized bedrooms, and a third bedroom with twin singles. These bedrooms have a choice of storage facilities and enjoy magnificent views of the grounds. The final sleeping space is a self-contained apartment style annexe, with a small kitchen, dining and bathroom spaces, Smart TV and super king-sized bed.
Whether your ideal holiday is outdoors, culturally enriching, culinary or simply spending time in a beautiful house and gardens with loved ones, Burncoose House is guaranteed to please. Redruth is a charming town and World Heritage Site, steeped in local history. There is a thriving arts scene, with a number of galleries, and fish and seafood lovers will be delighted by the restaurants. Just ten minutes away from the beach, Redruth is well placed if you’d like to visit the beautiful coastal village of Portreath. That said , many guests see little reason to leave the stunning house and tranquil grounds.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 7 nights high season
