This stunning 18th century property is packed full of character and steeped in history. In its previous incarnations, the heritage home has been a listed manor house, a courthouse and a mill. Now it has been authentically restored to its original plan to create a truly magnificent destination for a group getaway by the sea.
Boasting exposed Cornish slate walls, original beams and lovingly restored fireplaces, ARC Padstow seamlessly combines the past and the present. Both a serene sanctuary and a sociable space, it’s a place to enjoy life’s simple pleasures with those you care about the most.
With five reception spaces, this huge home has plenty of room to accommodate everyone, whether you’re warming your toes in front of the open fire in the lounge or relaxing on the comfy sofas in the snug. And when it comes to mealtimes, the state-of-the-art kitchen is kitted out with everything you’ll need to cater for your group, including four ovens, two fridges and a range of Miele appliances.
All of the 12 bedrooms are ensuite, so there won’t be any need to queue for the shower in the morning. Some can be configured to be either a twin or super-king and two further guests can be accommodated in the snug.
The generous outside space, with its garden rooms, oval sun lawn and outdoor kitchen, has been perfectly planned for easy outdoor living. Here you can fire up the pizza oven, keep cosy in front of the atmospheric fire pit or relax in the private hot tub.
ARC Padstow is nestled in the heart of St Issey, a charming, traditional Cornish village just a few miles from Padstow. Surrounded by green fields and rolling farmland, St Issey guarantees peace and tranquillity.
Padstow itself offers a lively alternative with a bustling harbour, boutique shops and acclaimed restaurants. Here you can meander around the charming old town, sample freshly caught seafood or check out one of the many art galleries. There are also a huge variety of beaches and coves to explore in Padstow and beyond. Whether you’re looking for somewhere to ride the waves, a spot to build the perfect sandcastle or a place that will welcome your furry friend, there’s a beach for you.

Leave a reviewStayed for a second time in January 2023. Was so great in winter too (we had stayed in June the previous year.) Everything is so thoughtful, from the ponchos and towels, to the mountain bikes. If you are into Architecture and design (and very luxury interiors), this is the house for you.

Booked this for a large birthday week in Summer 2022 and it was absolutely fabulous. Very stylish and beautifully appointed - like a luxury boutique hotel. All rooms are en suite and the amenities are fantastic - the wood fired hot tub and pizza oven being huge hits with the group. We hired the bikes as they are pretty essential to getting round Cornwall. Very well located for the beaches just a short cycle away. We also hired a private chef to cook mussels and serve oysters and she was fantastic. Couldn’t recommend more - will certainly be returning.

Stayed here for my brothers 30th. WOW. We are a foodie bunch, so loved cooking on the 1.5m Braai BBQ and pizza oven. The kitchen inside is almost professional standard too- all Miele appliances etc. Really stylish house, bespoke furniture, amazing art exhibition. It has 30 bikes for the camel trail... its just breathtaking. If your looking for THE BEST rental house under the sun, look no further!
