Charming and cosy, this beautiful home in the Scottish Highlands offers breathtaking sea views offering you and your loved ones the chance to relax and unwind in a stunning scenic setting. The home is grand and spacious, with a beautiful garden and homely, comfy interiors.
When you arrive, you’ll be blown away by the size of the space which invites you to spread out and socialise in style. Rustic charm oozes throughout the home, thanks to lovely oak and slate floors, which combine with underfloor heating to offer a touch of luxury to your stay.
The social heart of the home is the grand kitchen and dining space, which doubles up as a sun room. The huge windows perfectly frame the view, whilst comfy leather sofas ensure you can relax with a good book whilst gazing out at the sea. The kitchen is nicely equipped with cutting edge appliances, featuring a large fridge/freezer, a six-ring gas hob and a wine cooler. There’s also a Sage coffee machine with a grinder, for that all-important first brew of the day. Add to this the large kitchen island and beautiful window seat and you’ve got the perfect place to cook, chat and enjoy the view.
When food is served, the spacious dining area has an oak dining table seating 10, making it ideal for long hearty lunches or big social dinners.
After dinner, head to the cosy lounge, where you’ll find a magnificent open fireplace, ensuring you stay toasty and warm all year round. Settle in here with a glass of wine on one of the sofas or armchairs, or challenge a loved one to a game of chess sitting next to yet another big window. There’s also a stash of board games, a stack of DVDs and a Bluetooth sound system to set the mood alongside a TV that’s loaded with all your favourite streaming services. All these rooms are connected by open plan or double doors, ensuring you and your loved ones can remain connected throughout your stay.
When night falls, there are five marvellously designed, spacious bedrooms on offer. Three of the bedrooms feature super-king size beds with two having their own ensuite bathrooms for added privacy. There is then one king size room and the final bedroom features twin beds for added flexibility. Downstairs, you’ll find a sleek bathroom with steam room, a handy WC and a spacious boot room for all your outdoor gear. There’s also a well-kitted-out utility room to keep things effortlessly tidy.
Step outside to a generous garden with plenty of spots to sit back and soak up the views — from the charming village below to the island and shimmering loch beyond. There’s an alfresco dining table for laid-back lunches or sunset suppers and a Weber BBQ ready for grilling up a feast. Wander through the back gate and you’re straight onto the scenic Aird path, with elevated views stretching out above the house.
If you venture further afield, there’s lots to see and do nearby. The west coast of Scotland, particularly Wester Ross, is a breathtaking blend of sea, loch and mountains - a haven for artists, photographers and nature lovers. Shieldaig, a picturesque village rich in fishing heritage, offers a hotel, pub, café and outdoor adventures like kayaking and guided walks.
From the house, the Aird path reveals stunning views of Torridon and beyond. Nearby Torridon boasts fine dining, the luxurious Torridon Hotel and thrilling outdoor activities. A scenic drive leads to Diabaig with ancient rock formations and the Gille Brighde restaurant. This region promises peace, adventure and unmatched natural beauty - perfect for reconnecting with nature.
