A marvellous base from which to explore Exmoor National Park, The Hunter's Inn offers the traditional charm of a country Inn but with a modern twist. Located in the parish of Martinhoe, the seaside town of Ilfracombe and the beautiful North Devon coast is just a 25-minute drive from the front door.
There are five types of room to choose from so that everyone is catered for, regardless of who is in your party. Each one is elegantly furnished and equipped with a flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and a stylish en-suite bathroom.
For larger groups the two bedroom apartment is a fantastic option, with a twin room and one with a large double bed. Alternatively there are two different types of family room. There is either one with a double bed and two single beds, or a double bed with a just the one single. For those who want a romantic trip away there is the superior double room, or the standard, while there is also a standard twin.
With the picturesque countryside as the backdrop The Hunter's Inn is situated among amazing gardens and there is a terrace with outdoor furniture so you can sit down and enjoy your surroundings when the weather is nice. A buffet breakfast is included with the room and is served in the on-site restaurant. It is also open for lunch and dinner with a varied a la carte menu. Afterwards, guests can enjoy a drink at the bar, or in the cosy and comfy lounge area.
Of course, one of the main attractions of the Inn is its location. There are plenty of hiking and cycling routes available right on your doorstep and guests are encouraged to head out and explore the natural beauty of Exmoor. For history lovers Watermouth Castle is worth a visit. Then a little further beyond is the wild and woolly coastline, with highlights including Bull Point Lighthouse in the village of Mortenhoe, and the golden sands of Woolacombe Beach. The area is also a surfer’s paradise with boards to hire and classes on offer for those of all abilities.
