Enjoy a relaxing big group getaway in this sleek and stylish home by the sea in Kent.
Perched on the shore above the pebble and sandy beach at Greatstone, you'll find a stunning black burnt timber facade that reveals designer-led interiors and ever-changing vistas. This holiday home offers an inspiring coastal escape for both family and friends, seamlessly fusing a back-to-the-elements experience with open-plan living, making it the perfect group accommodation. Whether you're seeking adventure or simply looking to unwind with leisurely beach strolls, there are endless possibilities here.
The house is clad in Japanese burnt cedar, employing the preserving technique known as Shou Sugi Ban, which not only protects guests from the elements but also opens up wide, inviting views, encouraging everyone to slow down and appreciate the surroundings. Drawing inspiration from Nordic and Japanese design, this beach house exudes opulence and fun, featuring a state-of-the-art cinema room, three floors of glass doors that fill the space with natural light and luxury touches throughout, including the latest tech-led living innovations. A coastal theme runs throughout the house, from the sandstone floors in the magnificent kitchen to the lower terrace leading to the dunes. Upstairs, the master bedroom boasts a sea-facing deck with panoramic sea views.
Waters Edge offers an array of features, including a TV/Cinema room with an 85-inch TV, surround sound, in-ceiling speakers and access to streaming services like Netflix, Prime TV and Sky TV. The kitchen is equipped with two large ovens, two dishwashers, two induction hobs, a double-width butler sink, a barista-style Nespresso machine, high-quality crockery and Le Creuset pans. There's also a garden bar outside the kitchen with fully opening bi-fold windows and high stools, a Weber BBQ, an outdoor pizza oven, a gas Paella ring and pans, an outdoor table tennis table and a foosball table. Back inside, there's an equipped bar area with a sink in the upper lounge.
The property features an electric vehicle charging point and a garden shower for post-swimming warmth and for washing children and dogs. It also offers direct access to a quiet part of the beach via a little gate onto the dunes. The sandiest part of the beach is a short walk to the right of the dunes.
In the surrounding area, you'll find various cafes, pubs, and eateries within walking distance. The Pilot pub in nearby Dungeness is known for its great fish and chips, and the Fish-shack at Dungeness is a must-visit venue. There are plenty of local walks along the beach, and those with bikes can explore the area for miles. Historic sites, such as the Sound Mirrors at Dungeness, add to the local charm.
