The Windsor Tapestries is a beautiful Grade II listed home that sits in the middle of Old Windsor. When you arrive, you’ll love the striking exterior, which harks back to the late 1800s when the property was built. The home was once a part of the old factory, where Queen Victoria had her tapestries repaired. However, it’s now been lovingly restored and offers groups of up to nine guests a marvellous and luxurious stay.
Inside, the home has bundles of character thanks to the ideal blend of old-world charm and modern comforts. Period features include big high ceilings and intricate woodwork, whilst modern touches include the state-of-the-art appliances and sleek, stylish furnishings.
When you arrive, gather in the comfy living room with its bold deep green colour scheme and big Smart TV. Settle in on the giant sofa or armchairs and grab a drink as you catch up with old friends. Guests are also sure to love the modern kitchen, which is equipped with contemporary appliances that makes meal prep a breeze. And once dinner’s ready, serve it up in the lovely dining room with its hard-wood table and hanging chandelier light that sets the scene for grand social dinners.
When night falls, The Windsor Tapestries has four striking and bold bedrooms, all of which have been lovingly designed to provide you and your guests with a perfect night’s sleep. There are two king size rooms, one double and one quaint single for solo travellers. There’s also a double sofa bed in the living room, accommodating two more guests if needed. All the bedrooms feature velvet beds with luxury mattresses and plump pillows and there are two superb, opulent bathrooms where you can soak and unwind. The bathrooms feature built-in water softening systems, so you can enjoy the benefits of softened water on your skin. So hop into the deluxe free-standing bath for an indulgent soak or rinse off in the large walk-in showers making use of the complimentary Neal’s Yard products and fluffy towels.
Step outside and you’ll find the secluded courtyard garden offers you your own private oasis, complete with stylish outdoor furniture for laid-back alfresco dining. As the sun sets, fire up the coal BBQ and soak up those warm summer vibes.
